Must not have liked his draft feedback and doesn't think it will improve at georgia. Seems like a risk for him to transfer and hope he wins the job over a guy that's been on roster and knows the offense.

Doubt he wanted to leave Georgia if not for the draft. More likely he was told the starter spot wasn't guaranteed which is insulting AND bad for draft prospects.

He can make more at Miami than the nfl draft. Smart move, ACC defenses suck, he should do well.

Wondering this myself. I assume these NIL contracts are for multiple years so how does that work when a program is ready to move on? Wouldn't his NIL money still be there?

You can structure them however you want, so who knows how his individual deal(s) is/are structured. His nil money may still be there, but if he’s on the bench he’ll have a much harder time getting to the league. Gotta be somewhere he’ll play.

If he can recover from Tommy John surgery, he has a chance to lose to ND in back to back games. UM opens with ND for 2025 season. (Granted he didn't actually play, though in the playoff loss)

Or..go to Miami where there is no quarterback or a plan to grow one. Then, you can walk in, sit out the spring and be handed the keys to the car in the fall.

Seems a little odd that miami took a guy that was playing so poorly. Who knows what their calculus is.

D…they are hoping that lightning will strike the exact same place two years in a row. Reeks of desperation. But in this crazy NIL bizarro Superman world, whatever works.
