Thought it was classy of Rick. I’m okay if some fans boo him. I wouldn’t but not sure I’d cheer very loudly yet. He’ll get his flowers eventually and deserves them.
Agreed. I’m pretty sure Gator fans would have booed Urban Meyer if Ohio St ever came to Florida, but the fans seemed to have warmed up to him over time.
Apparently they booed Pitino pretty badly on his return with Louisville, which is more understandable since they’re such heated rivals with UK. Seems like it affected him pretty substantially. Class move by Pitino.

Not sure I linked that correctly but that's him flipping off UK fans while walking off the court towards the tunnel. It was ugly but it healed. Some fans are saying they'll boo because Cal left for a rival. Arkansas is more of a rival than many teams but, honestly, I'm not sure they're in the top 5. I'd put UL, Duke, Florida, UT and Indiana all ahead of them. Also, he honestly kinda left because so many fans wanted him to. He actually did what was best for UK fans. Him leaving saved UK like 40 million dollars and got us a fresh start. So I don't get the "he left us so I'm gonna boo him" concept. I think a better reason is his stubbornness with playing the best lineups and the fact that his stubbornness was due to having made promises to players - something he swore he never did. It cost UK games and that is inexcusable.

UK fans boo every call that goes against the Cats. Booing is what they do best. I can't see them giving JC a standing O. Especially with a "traitor" asking them to do so.
I dislike Urban Meyer a lot but not for leaving. I was glad that he did. I know this is a minority opinion.
