My daily countdown to the season’s “First Pitch” missed the introduction of two players. I started counting down at number 39. I should’ve started at 44. That would’ve been your introduction to Townsen. And then MacKenna, who has Number 51, opted to come early as a freshman and enrolled in the spring semester and she is eligible to play this year. So she hasn’t been introduced. I will post both in the coming days so as to introduce them to y’all.
Looks like the gators picked up a 2025 pitcher from the state of Florida, Leah Stevens. Anyone know anything about her?
Coach Walton talked about her at a gathering we had on Tuesday. She was on a visit Tuesday afternoon and coach said she was probably the smartest girl he’s ever recruited. If I’m not mistaken, she’s going to study to be an aeronautical engineer. Said she was a real good pitcher.
She comes as a freshman next year, she will enroll in August this year. I guess you can say she replaces Kylie and Makenna in the next class.
She seems to have good stats on her twitter page but idk how effective she would be, but looks like a good arm to add.
And a good person to add. Having someone with her experiences, attitude and intelligence on the team can only help...no matter how much playing time she sees.
