    OMG... its worse.

    • Trump OMB puts out 2 page memo freezing all grants
    • Chaos, panic ensues
    • OMB puts out 1.5 page Q&A trying to clarify.
    • More confusion
    • Congressional Republicans defend it / Dems attack it
    • WH blames media for confusion
    • OMB puts out one line memo rescinding freeze
    • Then Press Secretary tweets the freeze is in place just the communication isnt.
    • More confusion

How sensitive are you? Smile. Enjoy the wink emoji. Know that this EO was good. I get you want to win the political capital game on this one. But end of the day...this is a win for Trump. And good for the country!

Ya know, sometimes a newcomer to the Presidency has trouble figuring out how things work .... Oopsy my bad -- for a minute I forgot we've been here before.

This clown car administration and its MAGA fans were promoting $Trump 2.0 as a well-oiled machine. Riiiiggght.

who is willing to bet money that the review of these grants and aid programs will be favorable to those who are in agreement with MAGA and not so good for those that aren't?

is congress and the courts really going to stand by and let them subjectively pick and choose who gets funding based on who bends the knee?

'Worried and confused': GOP senators say their phones are blowing up over Trump freeze

WASHINGTON — Republicans confessed their own constituents are concerned after President Donald Trump issued atotal freeze across all government spending.

Raw Story spoke to Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) before the White House tried to retract its letter from the Office of Management and Budget announcing the freeze. She said her office phones were ringing too from Republican mayors and town supervisors, and she has watched as Republican Senators "huddle" over the matter.

Murkowski noted that the court decision "made things a little bit easier," referencing litigation that halted the freeze on Tuesday afternoon. The judge issued a restraining order to prevent the OMB pause from taking effect on Wednesday.

"I met first thing this morning with the Head Start folks from Alaska, and of course, Head Start was one of those to be not touched. Yesterday, no one was able to access the portal," Murkowski also said. "They basically think the whole thing crashed. Last evening, about 10 o'clock, two of them were able to get into the portal and get the funds released. So, they woke up this morning saying we're going to be able to make it. Now, their programs are going to be fine, but they're concerned about the families who access their programs and what that might mean."

    Let’s see, so far:
Day 1 - Memo orders pause on all financial assistance
Day 2 - New memo says ‘we didn’t really mean it’ and lists a bunch of assistance that isn’t paused
Day 3 - Come to think of it, we’re rescinding the memo. Just forget the whole damn thing.
Still Day 3 - Actually, the order isn’t rescinded, just the memo.

no telling what Day 4 will bring

She should be even more entertaining with the daily softballs served up by President Dumbo.

The irony is that Trump 2.0 will be far worse than Trump 1.0. During his first term Trump actually appointed competent and well qualified subordinates and cabinet officers probably unintentionally. His second time around his most important criterion is absolute loyalty and if there is anything Trump learned from his first term it's how the federal government operates and the few limitations on the power of the presidency which will enable him to do considerably more damage than he did before.

Fortunately, this Trumppublican legislator has a wonderful plan to make sure kids are well taken care of.....

Republican congressman suggests some children receiving free school lunches should work at McDonald’s instead

Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., on Tuesday defended the impacts of the White House's federal aid freeze on school lunch programs by suggesting that some children should be working instead of receiving free lunch.

"Before I was even 13 years old, I was picking berries in the field, before child labor laws that precluded that. I was a paper boy, and when I was in high school, I worked my entire way through," McCormick said. "You’re telling me that kids who stay at home instead of going to work at Burger King, McDonald’s, during the summer, should stay at home and get their free lunch instead of going to work? I think we need to have a top-down review."
