Would you be able to do that with just the cellphone? You wouldn’t need acess to the third party platform?

 

That seems crazy. You’re essentially saying you’d have access to anything that’s ever been viewed on the phone. Not downloaded or stored, just viewed. Every webpage, every page opened in every app. Doesn’t seem like there’s enough storage to log all of that. I knew deleted files leave traces behind and can sometimes can be recreated, but those were at least stored on the phone at some point.

 

Time to go back to my old flip-phone, I guess.

 

I remember watching one of those Me Too clips and the woman on it said “why would a woman lie”? Well, duh, because people lie all the time for nefarious reasons, as it appears in this case.

 

I bought a pair of flip flops with cash and came home and told my wife and then I started getting ads for that brand. Not once did I do research into the brand or look at them online. Conspiracy theory….maybe. But I can’t deny my experience with that

 

J….u r too kind. It is an epidemic of vitriol and mean spirited venting on any person place or thing that presents itself. tomorrow it will be a different whipping boy. The target just gives an excuse to release the inner demons upon someone, anyone.
Our sports programs always give fertile ground and many worthy areas for serious introspection.

What these forums have turned into is an insane asylum under the guise of “sports” discussions.
This Golden fiasco is just one.

 

My .02: I don't have the wherewithal to do a comparison but I believe there is a likely correlation between Gator Country posters that have established their bona fides as people that detest UF's AD and posters who also shared "unsupportive opinions" on the Todd Golden story. It seems our modern phenomena to reflexively ascribe to a person we dislike every bad thing, or even potentially bad thing, that happens under their executive as being their "fault." Blame-gaming, fault-finding, and access to platforms is a serious drug that seems to be in the veins of many in this day & age.

 

That’s not what trolls do during the lean times. They crawl into their caves and wait for another scent of doom to waft through their dank air.

The thinking is...
Billy Napier has made some mistakes and has been slow to turn the football program around.
Stricklin hired him.
So the hate for Napier and Stricklin burns as hot as 1000 suns.
Oh wait- Stricklin hired Golden- so if Golden is guilty then
WE CAN FIRE STRICKLIN. AND NAPIER. AND GOLDEN.
And hire the next shiny object who will go 13-0 and win a title in his first year.

It's not logical.
It is a symptom of a "I want it all, and I want it now" mentality.

 

It didn't have to happen this way either. It was a choice or, rather, a series of choices.

 

Well the AD is in charge of "sports", and the decisions he makes impact the "sports" people come to this board to discuss. Don't like the way the team that plays "sports" is going, the lambasting starts at the bottom and flows up. BTW, I am not holding a bag for the AD or any coach, and I think people are free to have decided opinions. It's why we are here. I'm just pointing out a pattern I observe, and it's not merely limited to this forum.

 

To be fair, at the time UF sporting world was at a really really really low point. We looked so bad we were in the running with FSU who could get to 10 losses first. Then Stricklin gives his vote of confidence, then literally the day after this came out. Reading the accusations initially where multiple women came forward, WITH PROOF, after 2 other coaches were let go for almost the same thing, come on you gotta give us a break on that one.

I have learned, at my advanced age, not to believe so called verified charges with NO proof, just allegations of proof. The technique, used many years ago, is called THE BIG LIE, charges so huge, the average person wonders..well, it MUST BE TRUE. Who would make that up?
Unfortunately, we have found out how misguided that is. I trust my friends. I trust my family, as small as it is. People with cell phone agendas have a long way to go.
A good man was attacked. Where is his justice?

 

I take the position that Todd Golden did NOTHING wrong and will not speculate about what he could have done or might have done. He's married with kids, his wife has stuck by him and there is ZERO evidence that he did ANYTHING wrong. And to assume or presume Coach Golden did anything improper or unethical is unfounded and simply not right.
