Cancer is not a virus, and as far as I can tell, its not a communicable disease either. But what do I know, I'm only 6 years old.
I’m well aware of the possibilities around mRNA vaccines as this was broadly discussed even on here in 2020. Including the possibility of this technology being used for targeted cancer cures. That is a great breakthrough for sure, for 4 patients with 1 specific type of cancer. That is a far cry from confidently stating “no worries, all types of disease now eradicated thanks to tech!”. Especially considering the jokers some want to put in charge of HHS. This admin may even jeopardize a bunch of the research you apparently already conclude is a magic panacea. The obvious should also be pointed out the mRNA vaccines only offered limited protection against COVID, and many crazies on the right for whatever reason believe it’s harmful (clot shot, lizard dna, whatever). If it takes “2 weeks” and is so simple where is the mRNA flu vaccine?
I didn't say all disease was no worries, I implied that pandemics across border aren't much concern anymore thanks to rapid development and a proven vehicle in mRNA. And there are financial incentives in place to use this technology, especially with boomers in their twilight years, so the avg Joe will see it more often, especially since doctors and medical professionals are in short supply. I follow the $ and markets and that's a huge growth opportunity in the next 10-20 years.
The so-called War Against Cancer is actually predicated on finding a viral cause of cancer. They want a vaccine for everything.
It’s an absurd overstatement of the situation either way. If H151 became a human pandemic of concern, no we wouldn’t have an mRNA vaccine in 2 weeks. There would still be clinical trials, manufacturing lead time, supply chains to fill, etc. Now they may be able to crank out a test vaccine for an initial trial quicky, that could happen fast with technology - but the other steps still take time. The benchmark for getting new mRNA vaccines in the face of an emergent threat is probably more akin to the COVID timeline. Which is way faster than the past, less than a year if $$$ is put up and it’s seen as public health emergency. But 5 years later the only mRNA vaccine on the market is still the COVID-19. That should be informative as to your “two weeks” idea.

Access, cooperation and participation to prevent and minimize worldwide infectious diseases, including pandemics. In case you haven’t noticed infectious diseases don’t recognize borders. So again tell me why they are so terrible?

They were pretty good at releasing useless, inconsistent, and misleading data.
Had the WHO not been at the forefront, in fomenting panic, I suspect far few multitudes would have died. Essentially, the WHO directed hospitals to panic.
