A rare rational decision although the fact that the teaching of the story of the Tuskegee Airmen was even withdrawn in the first place illustrates the Trump Administration's absurd obsession with DEI and also the fact the term is very poorly defined.

His plan to target top staff who don't align with his agenda, while also marginalizing minorities (a third of active-duty personnel) & women (about 20%) won’t strengthen our military. In fact it could hurt moral and impact recruitment - which is a bigger issue than being “too woke”.

 

Well, my Agency took a bunch of stuff offline on day 1 so that they can review to make sure it doesnt violate the EO. Because they weren't given a long timeline to comply, they took a bunch of stuff down as quick as they can. They are now in the process of restoring things that should remain up. There's already an estimated 10,000 person shortage in needed forces. So sure, go ahead and ostracize people who are willing to serve. Some factors cited for reduced white male enlistment: the obesity epidemic and underfunded public education system.

Really tired of DEI being the scapegoat for white guys not enlisting. So dumb.

 

I know how to kill two birds with one stone. Instead of deporting all those immigrants they're arresting, make them serve two years in the military. That is, give them a choice, I'm sure most would choose to be new recruits.

yep. The rules to enlist are less stringent on physical and educational requirements and our military still falls short on recruitment. But improving recruitment is much less catchy than blaming it on woke.
