PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Just days into President Donald Trump’s second term, the federal government has made major changes to environmental regulations. A significant change is the regulation of toxins in drinking water or so-called “forever chemicals” that can build up in the environment and our bodies. These chemicals are found in the drinking water consumed by most people in Arizona. This week, the Trump administration withdrew a pending plan to limit the amount of PFAS chemicals the industry can release into the environment. “If you’re wondering right now, have I picked those PFAS? The answer is yes, definitely,” explained Dr. Rhett Larson, a water law professor at Arizona State University. EPA withdraws plan to regulate harmful ‘PFAS’ chemicals in drinking water How does this correspond with Make America Healthy Again? I have a feeling all of those who were up in arms about fluoride being in water will just shrug their shoulders at this move.
So, $Trumpet doesn't mind killing off residents of Arizona? Didn't he just win their electoral votes? smh
he's going to die before then, what does it matter if it makes some of his flock happy? and then they donate to his electoral wink wink fund
Withdrew a pending plan? Maybe it wasn’t that urgent. If this is critical, why didn’t Joe get something done? Perhaps it could have been an executive order? don’t let every story posted by the daily kos get you all wee wee’d up
I anticipate although these chemicals have been around for many years, it’s more of a recent concern and testing. Here they tested in Delaware in 2022. “The agency sampled 33 of the state’s watersheds in the fall of 2022 and found varying levels of so-called “forever chemicals” among a majority of the rivers and streams analyzed.” But it takes a few years to impact health and trump will be out of office by then. “The chemicals have been linked to some cancers, thyroid disease, ulcerative colitis, developmental delays in children and other health conditions.” Toxic PFAS found across Delaware rivers and streams
RFK ... sounds like his presence in the admin is super-duper effective ... LOL. That dude made cleaning up drinking water his #1 issue.
