Ona lark I decided to donsome looking around - this is the only source I see reporting this. Appears to be crap as assumed. I'll gladly be wrong, but seems incredibly unlikely - near impossible.
Doesn’t make much sense. We’re not struggling inside. Why burn a year of eligibility for a bunch of conference games when we’re pretty much in the Dance
This is crazy but certainly an upgrade from Alexis. The Gators had some issues against SC's bigs and if truly healthy this might just be the best defensive big man on the team. I can't believe this but if he's healthy than it makes sense. Be interesting how Golden mixes him back in.
While I have long wondered what this team could be like with Micah, it doesn't make sense that none of the Gator writers have even hinted at it. Has he been running full scrimmages with the team or just doing simple drills prepping for next year? That stuff should have been updated over time or at least hinted at in the roster story lines. All that to say, I have long thought a healthy Micah is probably the missing link this team needs to be elite and a major contender in the tourney. Sure they are worthy of the top 10 and higher ranking but could be even better for us on the boards and blocked shots. If he could play like last year and occupy 15-20 minutes on the court, its another 5 fouls of high aggressive energy and a tough defender of the rim at 7-1. His addition would allow all the other bigs to stay more aggressive because we have more depth and Coach Golden would not need to manage around any foul trouble. its still an unknown if he could even begin to play at the level where he left off. It sure makes tomorrow's game a little more perplexing....
To make the final four we are just about halfway there. If Micah is physically and mentally ready to contribute 10 mpg off the bench, he could be the front court depth piece that could get us over the top. His addition could also allow Haugh to play a little three. This reminds me a little of a mlb team adding a pitcher down the stretch
Personally, his burning his RS makes sense only if he thinks his best chance for getting to the FF is this season with the Big 3 guards and not the next two years. That does not feel like a slam dunk. Unless he can't come up with new material in leading the bench cheerleading...
When you click on the link on that page it gives you a 404 error "Page no longer exists" from floridagators.com.
OR he feels like he can graduate and play pro balk somewhere after his eligibility is over. If i was him i’d be itching to get back to this team. He has definitely been the most excited bench supporter, it must be killing him not playing. Very happy for him, wonder what kind of conditioning and game shape he’s in. At 7’1, coming in halfway through the season is both an advantage and disadvantage. I think at 5-10 minutes a game he can at least make a difference until he gets his game groove back
That site just rips content. In this case it apparently ripped (or wants us to believe it ripped) content from floridagators.com, but now the original content has been taken down.
That's two sources (one of which nobody has ever heard of), neither of which are linking to any credible source like the coach, the player, UF information, etc. Awesome if true, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Why was the Harry article pulled? Chris is a legit source, so now I think we can all get very excited about the prospects of having probably the best front court in America rolled out today. Sometimes throwing a new player in can disrupt chemistry, but even if it takes 5 or 6 games to get organized, it will pay dividends come tournament time. I think Alexis is the odd man out here, but we'll see. Our depth is off the charts now. This is big.Hope he has taken the last year to work on his free throws as much as his hype game.
