This. Makeup and bra-wearing orange buffoons should quit babbling about deporting people, walls, and eating dogs.... and explore a plan that would better document and regulate 5-6% of our workforce without, ummmm, deporting it. Then we'd have way fewer border crossings and be able to better secure the border, really with similar resources. But the makeup and bra-wearing orange buffoon couldn't hate-monger for votes that way, the cult couldn't vent their evangelical rage, and, well, here we are.
You left out the part where I said : " so you are saying they are not citizens" to which you replied " that is exactly what I am saying". Of course it was an ad hominem attack, are you going to ask if I have another diagnosis next? Perhaps I should ask if you have ___________?
I am not going to worry about the supposed migrants for farmers bs , until it happens IF it happens. And then the people that hired them should face punishment for hiring illegals
If you're affected by some decision that Donald Trump makes, there is a good chance that you are a victim of a crime.
Denver Public Schools Chief Defies Trump, Orders ICE Off His Campuses The chief administrator of Denver Public Schools has defied President Donald Trump, saying that ICE will not be allowed on his campuses after the president authorized agents to conduct deportation raids at schools. In a memo from Denver Public Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero to principals in the area, the message was simple: if ICE agents arrive, "do not allow entry into the building," as reported by KDVR. Marrero instructed school officials to utilize the intercom to communicate with the agents. The principals were told to ask for a copy of the warrant, and if the agents did not have a warrant, they were told to tell the agents to leave, as reported by 9News. Similarly, Aurora Public Schools told staff to "inform federal agents the district has a process regarding requests to talk with students."
Tell us that you understand absolutely nothing about the issue without telling us that you understand absolutely nothing about the issue. Edit - I'm feeling charitable, so I'll help you just one last time; it's a matter of labor demand.
Alabama tried it for a minute, decided that didn't work Alabama immigration: crops rot as workers vanish to avoid crackdown | Alabama | The Guardian Brian Cash can put a figure to the cost of Alabama's new immigration law: at least $100,000. That's the value of the tomatoes he has personally ripening out in his fields and that are going unpicked because his Hispanic workforce vanished literally overnight. For generations, Cash's family have farmed 125 acres atop the Chandler mountain, a plateau in the north of the state about nine miles long and two miles wide. It's perfect tomato-growing country – the soil is sandy and rich, and the elevation provides a breeze that keeps frost at bay and allows early planting. For four months every year he employs almost exclusively Hispanic male workers to pick the harvest. This year he had 64 men out in the fields. Then HB56 came into effect, the new law that makes it a crime not to carry valid immigration documents and forces the police to check on anyone they suspect may be in the country illegally. ............ The provisions – the toughest of any state in America – were enforced on 28 September. By the next day Cash's workforce had dwindled to 11.
I would continue to diagnose you in the same manner if it were not against the COC. OF COURSE NATIVE AMERICANS ARE CITIZENS. literally nobody is arguing otherwise. Not me. Not the justice department. you've been spun up by a Salon article that was intended to spin you up.
We will see higher prices for citrus very soon. The recent frost in Florida will likely reduce the YoY yield. And in California, about 50% of the labor force in the Central Valley is too scared to show up. What this means is a significant supply shortage. Especially since this is the critical, citrus harvest time. If you don't think this will cause prices to rise, I would suggest a remedial econ course that deals with how markets and supply and demand work.
Your argument is fair. The government’s argument is ultimately that the historical context of “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” qualifier’s purpose is to define whose parents are bound by the laws of the United States. As an example, the government is pointing to the historical purpose of The Indian Citizenship Act. The really bad part of this line of thinking is that a law defining a group of people as Citizens can be repealed or newly written to say a group is not subject to the jurisdiction (ex. all H1B or Green Card holders). Repealing one’s citizenship through a concentration of power in all three branches can devolve the Country into chaos. edit: one other argument is that Obama’s mother renounced her citizenship. Her not being subject to the jurisdiction thereof eliminates the argument that he was born in Hawaii as sovereign soil citizenship.
since most of the Florida Citrus crop is now south of I4, not much if any even experienced a frost and suffered no damage- my friends grove on the North side of Clermont had no damage- this little cold snap actually helps the fruit ripen and get sweeter there were some specialty fruit and vege crops in North Florida that may have suffered, but not Citrus
That is the SOP for great number of ag and slaughterhouse employees. Whose going to do all that work?
Florida citrus production was already down due to hurricane damage. The estimate from the recent freezes before the storms hit was an additional 20% loss. The bigger groves are all south of Orlando. But there are smaller ones around Orlando and north that were effected by the freezes. Couple the low expected yield, any freeze losses, and the fact there are air 50% less persons working the fields of Central California, and it all equates to shortages in citrus. Which means higher prices. And it didn't have to be this bad. Plenty of fruit ready to be picked today in California. Just no labor there to pick it.
