I think they ate what was available and might have benefitted from having access to processed foods. But we really shouldn’t romance the ancients.
Strictly speaking, nobody is dying from being fat … unless of course that someone proved correlation is causation and I somehow missed it.
That’s a good question. I think he really believes his vaccine was “safe and effective” and “saved millions of lives.” Note: I’m not keen to bury a Fauci or a Trump, under the jail, simply because they were cogs in a societal level evil phenomenon.
The National Weight Loss Registry is comprised of Americans who’ve lost thirty or more pounds and kept the weight off for one year. Key findings in registrant’s surveys … They exercise prodigiously. They diet stringently. They are never not thinking about food.
We also shouldn't pretend they were dumb cavemen either. "Hunter/Gatherer" tends to bring up that image, but they were probably very sophisticated, much like the steppe tribes, and some even did very well for themselves.
If something has to be advertised, you probably don’t need it. I suspect that goes for food much more than anything else since nearly 100% of foods you see advertised is junk food that are more of a net negative or filling a vice vs offering nutrition. Kind of crazy when you think how much advertising ruins everything. Sports had to make the games go by faster to squeeze in more ads. Then that money gets turned around so athletes can be spokesmen (and now college NIL). Social media’s very existence and purpose of being is to data mine your activity and market shit directly at you that you 99.99% don’t need (and it gets into looney tunes moron level where you see people buying “political swag” or vitamin supplements based on what they click through). We need a “don’t buy that shit” movement lol.
Nobody has died from being fat, they died from conditions related to obesity. Annual deaths attributable to obesity in the United States - PubMed
Better (healthier) than people in "civilization" according to some studies, I'm told. More exercise, more varied and fresher diet and actual free time. Again, they weren't groveling for every meal. Some were actually kicking butt. Which they also tended to do when they invaded/raided/attacked "civilized societies."
Thank you. As a senior citizen, just turned 65, I am just so grateful to live in a society that is in love with Mark Zukerberg and the various other Oligark criminals that steal and then decided to sell my personal information to 300 million foreign scammers looking to destroy my finances and really my life. All courtesy of American politicians (both parties). Let me tell ya, the medicare scams are just a hoot, makes life fun! I feel like a pilot whale bleeding a gallon a minute in a pool or piranhas. You hit a pretty big nerve with me about advertising. Liars cheaters and thieves. TV being the worst. Enjoy that football game where you get to watch 2 hours + of advertising? All automobile and truck advertisers should be drowned in an acid bath. So think about it for one damn second. All those truck and car commercials: Cars and trucks driving on beautiful "off roads" in nature. Sliding around on beaches, in the water, on mesa tops. Funny thing about that, my vehicle experience is sitting in traffic, choking on fumes, late to my appointment. No mesas, no beautiful women, no beach. Just an overpriced monthly car and Ins. payment, not to mention the maintenance bills. Funny I never see that in any of those commercials. And that's basically true for every industry that advertises. Lies and more damn lies, followed by more damn lies. But the chicks in the commercials are pretty, I just doubt they will go out with me if I buy that product or not.................
*Didn’t get the subtle hint that correlation isn’t causation. At the upper ranges of obesity mortality is higher, almost as high as with the underweight. If you want to panic about something panic about the underweight.
I doubt that they were very much more active. Only as active as they needed to be. The body tends to preserve energy, not to expend it.
I agreed with your post for two reasons: 1 - you are correct and I agree with your post. 2 - I make it a point to try and find something to agree with you on at least once per year. Glad I got it sorted in the first month. Now, we return you back to your regularly programmed rants.
Winston Churchill was chubby, drank like a fish, was a chain smoker and governed through the acute stress of two world wars. He lived to be 90. Meanwhile, the man generally acknowledged for popularizing jogging died at age 47. My surmise: sometimes genes load the gun AND pull the trigger.
I think Michele Obama was on the right track with school lunches but they should have eased into it gradually over several school years instead of going all in the first year.
I kind of think the slow roll outs just give more time for reflexive opposition to metastasize. The ACA was like a 4 year roll out and gave plenty of time to talk about death panels, losing your doctor, whatever. I mean I dont think you can change the healthcare system overnight, but liberals often seem to make the mistake of doing things over years and not reaping the credit. Of course its classic democrat brain of living in fear of doing anything quickly or for political gain.
Agreed. I mean, they did roll it out over two years and somebody is here suggesting that they should have done it that way as a way to figure out why they opposed something that they now need to say was a good idea to square their current party's position.
