The information was given to me a year or two before I was asked to be moderator. This poster posts carelessly and his posts have brought trouble to other people associated, or formerly associated with Gator Country. Likely unintentional, but certainly irresponsibly.

I agree that most ppl wouldn't have had a problem with a more Judicious, targeted case by case pardoning....

However, given the recklessly broad brush AND viciousness with which the DOJ prosecuted the J6 defendants, I approve of the blanket pardon, as a self-correcting statement by the very same government, but under new leadership.

I hold our government to a higher standard than private citizens.

Btw--were you ok with our government's use of chemicals banned by international treaty to massacre fellow citizens at Waco, Texas?

I seem to have missed your take on that aspect of my post.

Two sentences that contradict each other. Poster seems to be running for office . LOL

Are you referring to the mass suicide by the Branch Davidian followers of David Koresh?

    This is massive projection.

I don’t think most Republicans support pardoning of J6 protesters. They just don’t think Democrats have a leg to stand on in the pardon department. And they’re right.

No they didn't drink Kool aid, instead they set their own homes on fire.
The fire erupted from three separate locations inside the compound, according to the FBI. Who caused the fire has remained a point of contention, although an independent arson investigation concluded the fire was started from within the building. The FBI claims the people inside the complex deliberately started the flames, while the Branch Davidians argue the FBI was behind the blaze. Thibodeau said he firmly believes nobody inside the complex would have started the flames.

The fire was started by the tear gas cannisters going off inside.

    NYTimes:
"The Federal Bureau of Investigation said that after it rammed holes in the walls of the sprawling compound early yesterday, it used a gas generator mounted on an armored vehicle to turn the white crystalline substance into a fine mist and spray it into the compound.

If tear gas grenades, which the F.B.I. denies using, had been thrown into the building, there might have been some danger of fire, since grenades and shells incorporate pyrotechnic chemicals similar to the bursting explosives and flame-makers used in fireworks. "

Biden granted pardons and commutations to more than 8,000 individuals, which is more than any other modern president. Any comments about this here at TH. No. I am not even going to get into people he pardoned who were not incarcerated or charged with a crime. Biden granted clemency to a dude who killed a cop, a dude who shot two FBI agents in the face, a man who shot a child in the back of the head, and a dude who handcuffed, duck taped, and attached a cynder block before he threw a woman in a lake. The hypocrites are running wild here.

    San Antonio... Florida!
Dems always shoot themselves in the foot first. Biden pardons the entire J-6 committee -- the very people who held hearings and brought charges against the J-6 rioters. Common sense dictates the Committee did do something wrong (fear of Trump going after them was not a reason for a pardon - there had to be a 'there' there). Once Biden did his giant Committee pardon, Trump was free to pardon the other side -- and he did.

I say good, and let it all rest. The few bad apples on both sides will screw up and get caught for something else, I'm sure.

Poster makes logical fallacies : "Common sense dictates the Committee did do something wrong (fear of Trump going after them was not a reason for a pardon" Trump warned of retribution both before and after the election. So you assure us he was lying. Yes, the felon lies constantly but that's not reassuring. I'd take the pardon every time.
"Once Biden did his giant Committee pardon, Trump was free to pardon the other side -- and he did. "
I'm positive that Presidential pardons are NOT determined by grade-school level tit for tat excuses.

    Did you read this?

    In case you missed it:

Biden granted clemency to a dude who killed a cop

a man who shot a child in the back of the head

a dude who shot two FBI agents in the face

a dude who handcuffed, duck taped, and attached a cinder block before he threw a woman in a lake

    Where is your feigned outrage?

Where are the tears from yesterday about violence against the police?
