Yeah, that sounds smart; remove all the illegals so that we can......let them back in. Derrrrr.

Perhaps you don't understand what I mean when I reference a "plan", because you are actually not well-versed in our economic conditions. Specifically; America needs the labor of the approximately 8-9 million employed undocumented people here.

A "plan", though, would be something to the effect of registering/regulating this labor force, instead of......LOL.....wasting a ton of money trying to kick them out....just to let them back in.

    I know - it's very difficult, conceptually.

As expected, conservative judge blocked birthright citizenship EO. Will 100% land in SCOTUS hands soon.

A federal judge temporarily blocked President Trump’s executive order that aimed to end birthright citizenship, an early setback for the Trump administration’s immigration agenda.

During a court hearing on Thursday, U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour said he would enter a temporary restraining order that prohibits the Trump administration from implementing the executive order until he can hear arguments over its legality.

Coughenour agreed with the state attorneys general that they were likely to prevail on the merits of their case, according to a press release from Washington Attorney General Nick Brown.

The article refers to a recent poll indicating a massive shift in attitude towards illegal immigration that has occurred over the last decade. The headline in the Blaze article implies that the shift in attitude has been very recent possibly in response to Trump's anti-immigrant rants.

You ever figure out what happens to the US economy if Trump is less incompetent this time, and does manage to deport 8-9 million employed undocumented immigrants?

Is the answer "herf derf, I'm not 100% sure about that number?"

Hmmm, so why would Donald Trump try to submit an EO that is obviously unconstitutional?

Because the EO would still be considered positive among his low information willfully ignorant supporters. Adding that there is still the possibility that a SCOTUS that has already demonstrated a propensity to disregard precedent combined with creative jurisprudence may do so again and if he loses by a 5-4 decision he can always blame the end result on the deep state (would be somewhat more difficult if he loses by a 6-3 or 7-2 margin).

I suspect that it is a tool to test how much the Republicans will allow him to bend reality. Basically, a purposeful emperor's new clothes, with the goal being to tell if he truly has the party in line in all claiming that he is wearing beautiful robes.

    1. it may not matter
    2. if ruled against, he plays the Andrew Jackson card about " let's see them enforce it".. Have a feeling we ain't seen nothing yet.

Well this little nugget is super fun. Native Americans are not citizens. Ain’t that some jacked up stuff?

Will love to see the defense of this one. Geez.

“The Trump administration then goes on to argue that the 14th Amendment’s language — the phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” — is best understood “to exclude the same individuals who were excluded by the Act —i.e., those who are ‘subject to any foreign power’ and ‘Indians not taxed.’”

The Justice Department attorneys return to the topic of whether or not Native Americans should be entitled to birthright citizenship later in their arguments, citing a Supreme Court case, Elk v. Wilkins, in which the court decided that “because members of Indian tribes owe ‘immediate allegiance’ to their tribes, they are not ‘subject to the jurisdiction’ of the United States and are not constitutionally entitled to Citizenship.”

Begs the question where they intend to deport them to? or just to justify abusing them some more.

Think pipeline and border wall. So abuse sounds to be the door he is walking through.

Clip is over 15 years ago. And in that clip he doesn’t say “stop calling them undocumented”.
But agree, it is peculiar how maga is very concerned what we call various groups, POC, etc. And then make a big deal what we can and can’t say for Christmas greetings.

Trump will pardon any agents who break any laws. I have seen posts urging Native Americans to " carry their papers" lest they get caught up in the sweeps for the grievous offense of not being white.

We could be getting to the point where any American who is not a Caucasian of European decent will have to carry papers. The veteran in New Jersey may have been the first American citizen caught up in one of Trump's mass deportation sweeps but he won't be the last and sooner or later (probably sooner) American citizens will end up in one of Trump's interment camps and possibly even end up being deported.
