what do you mean by security clearance protocols. When people are submitted for clearances background investigations are done and risk assessments are done prior to a decision being made. What makes you think anything different that this is being done?

Those dont disqualify one for a security clearance. Nobody, other than the investigators, know the details of this. Why did he not report financial dealings? Who knows, perhaps he's a public figure and frequently does business with foreign partners and figured everyone knew that and just forgot to report. A risk assessment is done and decisions are made without regards to public perception or internet trolls.

There isn't some 'security cookbook' where the rules are absolute. Its all about risk. Should Trump have had boxes of secure document in his bathroom? No. Who accessed those documents and what did they do with them? I have not seen any definitive information on that. I've seen lots of things about people who could have accessed them but could have and actually did is not the same thing.

When I started working, I had an interim clearance for 4 months prior to being fully cleared. I still did work in those 4 months although did not have access to certain things. Not unusual.

Yes, and the people who do that apparently denied him for those reasons and it was overruled.

You first moved the goalpost from the thread topic - security protocols to this :
"The counter argument is that Trump's campaign was professional run this time and so would his transition team and they have known that they had a better than 50% chance of winning this time around, so they would have been prepared.

So maybe take a step back, realize a lot of these reporters do not know a lot about the this complicated process and how it is easy to make one side look "unprepared" by highlighting one small part of the process to someone unfamiliar with it."

Then when I post sources showing a more wide spread issues in the transition (post 57) you move the goalposts back to security protocol. Why?

you talking about this: What house appeared to have 'bypassed everything" with Monday's presidential directive"?

that was the opinion of someone who wrote a book about how to get clearances fasters 18 years ago. There are protocols in place to expedite clearances, one is by EO. I'm sure vetting was already in process and at certain points of completion already so its not like someone off the street was given a clearance although an EO would allow for that as well.

Because it was what I assumed which was Trump’s team is suspicious of the Biden Admin and that gets into a totally different debate that quite frankly, I’m tired of having.

If you want to freak out over this, go ahead and go for it. It has been explained to you that this is likely for junior staffers that do not currently have clearances, not unlike what we do for junior military officers and junior enlisted that are going through military intelligence schools as part of their training.
