I imagine McLellan will be the first bat off the bench. She has great patience at the plate. Her and Thomas are the 2 that I think should be getting regular spot starts. I think Thomas and Comia will be regular on pinch running duty. We don’t want Rothrock out there running the bases more than necessary. Hovermale and Barnard, I’m not sure their roles change much this season. If Oxley is healthy, and with the addition of Kara, I don’t see too many starts coming Olivia’s way, but I’m sure she will get some innings here and there.
Boy, the top to bottom depth on this years squad, even with the loss of AK(still hurt my soul), is astounding. Has to be the best the Gators have had since I started following them.
Rooting for Mia to heave a breakout year. She seemed to do really well in the fall, which I know was not against the best competition, but still seemed like she was seeing/hitting the ball very well
You're fortunate to have a wife that shares your love of Gator sports. One of the reasons I don't go to hardly any games is that my wife is not a sports fan at all. She'll watch a Gator football game with me from time to time, but not any of the other sports. So while I watch virtually every Gator game in all sports on TV, I make sure she and I do things together on a regular basis. Going to games just takes too much time away from her and while she doesn't mind when I do go to a game from time to time, over the years we've learned to compromise on things and still find plenty of time for each other.
From a song: She loves to fish, plays golf, too What more can you ask I go myself a piece of heaven here! She don’t want a car my old Dodge Dually Seems to suit her fine and guess what, She drinks my brand of beer! We have listened to, watched live and video of UF Football and only video of basketball and softball and an occasional baseball game plus pro football for over sixty years. When we tuned into the College Station Regional the weekend of my 65th birthday, 5/25-27/2007, we instantly were hooked. Walton, Evan’s, Nelson, Scarborough. Unbelievable!. We try not to miss a game and are PO’ed when they are not available. Nothing better than Gator Softball and a good cold one. Tell your wife how happy you would be if she would sit with you while you watched the games. Maybe offer her a beer. Good luck!
She tried that for many years after we first got married, but finally told me that she would rather be doing other things. I respect honesty and so does she. She knows that watching Gator sports is a major hobby for me and she NEVER complains. So I don't try to coerce her into doing something she'd rather not do. She is a quilter, likes to shop with a couple of friends and loves her shows and movies on Netflix & Prime. It's all good. Communication & Compromise are what keeps mariages going.
Looked on the espn app just to see if Florida home opener is gonna be televised, and as of today they do not have it listed smhhh. I am really hoping they have it televised somehow, cause if not then what is the whole point of starting the season on Thursday at home. For as long as I have been following the program, I have not recalled them starting the season with a home game before the USF tourney.
Hey guys, somebody that is better at linking things to this site than me, go over to the Gator Softball Facebook page and link the video with Kendra Falby at picture day. She does a great job walking around the building with a microphone.
My wife of 53 years used to go to all the events with me but between old age, her various ailments and watching our Grandkids play varsity and club sports she no longer goes with me. Luckily, I have great friends that I attend with like Scrapppy, Sandman, 1990 etc. Still would like to meet others of you at the games this year! My guess is that the 3 Sophs you asked about will be catching a lot of aluminum or pine this year.
Too bad. My wife is my rock and best friend. Our differences make us more compatible and we appreciate those things we have in common even more. I'm a blessed man.
Fun Fact-The jacket Kendra has on she bought at a thrift store in Tallahassee when we were up there to play.
