Trump orders all federal DEI employees placed on paid leave

    When companies say they're going to hire more minorities and you're not a minority and you don't get hired, it's pretty natural to put 2 and 2 together.

    And you actually believe corporate PR? Companies will say whatever sounds good. Now Zuck is talking about needing more masculinity. lol.

    Take a look at senior leadership levels at most top companies. They still overwhelmingly skew male and white. If you are not getting hired, 99% of the time is because you were not the best candidate or didn’t now the right people. Everything else is just a weak excuse.

    Actually, if we are talking tech companies, Indians are taking over senior roles at a break neck pace. Just goes to show if you are talented and willing to put in the work, your race doesn’t matter. Companies are in the business of making money.

    I don't believe corporate PR but my career was in corporations so I know how they do things.

    Yep. 3 years ago I was up for a director level job at Bank of NY and a friend that's an officer there said they are going to hire a minority even if I had a vastly superior resume, and that's just what happened. They hired a female with 5 years of experience when the job req said they were looking for 7-10 years minimum experience. I had 19 years experience at the time. It's what it is. I never even got an interview lol. I do love some people saying that it doesn't happen. I just know they are ignorant. See it often on this board...

    So he just called you a liar after you posted a personal experience. I believe he/she/it should be given a vacation from Too Woke for Swamp Gas.

    I remember my dad telling me it must have been "affirmative action" when I didn't get a particular job immediately out of college with no qualifications or experience. I was like "I dunno about that, lol."

    It’s just hilarious, I make a point about how the only people that complain about not being hired due to race and gender are white men. And not even five minutes later you prove me right. Thanks for the assist!

    Yeah, part of the New College thing in Florida was just getting more (white) men enrolled, literally why they are trying to make it a sports school. And probably why they will end up killing Title IX too if they are able. We are just doing reverse DEI now in colleges. Their solution for men being left behind is just to make achieving things easier for men. 'The soft bigotry of low expectations' as they used to call it for non-white people.

    Correct, most corporate PR is about keeping people from getting mad and avoiding government regs or inquiry, not actually doing anything of substance. They do the bare minimum, and the second they dont have to, they jettison it like a cheap whore. They dont believe in anything other than making profit! Whatever lets them profit with minimal gov't interference and public attention, they will do.

    I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone take that position. That wasn't my experience but I don't know what other companies really do.
