    From the article:
    Glad to see the Federal government if following the lead of these 48 companies to scale back or eliminate their DEI programs. Merit based is the way to go.

    Is it the D, the E, or the I that you (have problems with)? Merit is a myth perpetuated by people who (dislike) the other.

    Mr. Trump said he will direct the Office of Management and Budget to end all related mandates, policies and programs across agencies, including all initiatives that aim to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within departments. His aim is to restore what the administration considers to be a merit-based hiring system, according to officials and the text of the order.

    DEI is a racist and “non” inclusive hiring practice. It’s a facade to give jobs to unqualified applicants.
    This practice makes the workplace much less efficient and puts the real work load on the ones that are actually able and capable of doing the required work.

    Merit based is a misnomer. You can just shift the metric for defined merit to fit the cohort you want to hire.

    Did you complain when ACB was nominated to the Supreme Court after Trump promised to nominate a woman?

    Did you complain when she was nominated? I searched the board looking for complaints from any of the conservatives when she was nominated but I've been I'm unable to find any. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place. In fact, which big name conservative complained when she was nominated? Surely there was a white male that was more qualified than her

    I agree to a certain extent. It’s now an access privilege. Access privilege has expanded beyond White to Asians. Pockets of Latino and Black access privledge exist, but are not publicized in the media as much. The short end of it revolves around parents knowing the game in early childhood.

    The opposite. The overwhelming majority of people I hear complaining about not getting hired due to race are white men. Many friends of mine fall in that category. The reality is they weren’t hired because their resume was not up to par to the position. But blaming DEI has become an easy excuse for mediocre white men.

    And I think DEI sucks to be clear. Glad to see it going away. But there are still a lot of things we can do to improve opportunities.
