You said and I quote: "For the ONLY time that's happened in US history." I pointed out that you were incorrect, unless you think the confederacy was not trying to overthrow the government.

I heard from a very reliable source that she wanted to get Mike Pence‘s autograph.

I was referring to a sitting President enacting a criminal conspiracy to not peacefully transfer power.

    Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Please get your head out of your ass and pay attention to what you are doing...Your comment shows up as part of my post. Anyway many of them were offered a deal, you plead guilty to misdemeanor charges and we will drop the false felony charges we charged you with...............It's the game they played.

So what you are saying is that they committed far more serious crimes, but the government took it easy on them and let them plea out to lesser charges?

Oh, which ones specifically were false? It seems like defendants wouldn't be willing to go to prison to avoid going to a trial on false charges.

Perhaps if you didn't post such ludicrous, indefensible statements that dozens of courts and judges were playing politics to explain your silly narrative..... you might not be so touchy. Lighten up.

So you are now trying to play this to his credit? Basically, well he said that he would pardon people who beat cops, then he did? Wow. Or was the goal more of an attempt to deflect away from how you voted for a guy who pardoned people who hit cops (because they did it for him).

Notice you didn't comment on Biden's false statements.

So deflection was your goal. It just has the rather disgusting side effect of trying to give him credit for pardoning or commuting the sentences of people who beat cops because they did it for him.

I gave him credit for doing what he said he would do in the campaign. I have said in other posts that I disagreed with his pardons of anyone who assaulted a police officer so you can get off your high horse on that point. Now since you have deflected away from Biden's comments, what say you about them?

You did, but now you are giving him credit for doing it. And as you pointed out, you voted for him knowing full well that he would do it.

Wait, was this thread about Biden? Or are you still trying to get a whataboutism in here? If you wanted to talk about the preemptive pardons, I am pretty sure we had multiple threads on the subject.

I personally don't think he should have done it, but Donald Trump also promised to go after those people for completely unnamed crimes. Since you are now trying to play the honesty card, do you think it would be good for him to harass those people, as he promised to do, without a charge ahead of time?

Another example of how nobody that comes into contact with Trump ends up the better for it. Heck, a pretty good chunk of those preemptive pardons went to people from Trump's own administration that he had promised to investigate, with no known crime or basis.

I actually think it benefits Trump, I think it is a mistake to do anything over what happened in the past, move on, focus on the positive and get some stuff done. The preemptive pardon makes it easy to move on.

I guess he could move on to another January 6, now that he got them out of prison.

Trump fanned the flames leading up to and during that day, and he was slow to respond. His followers brutally attacked law enforcement officers—men and women who risked their lives and suffered hours of violence. Some ended up in the hospital, yet Trump shows no concern for them. Instead, he offers praise to the rioters. I see the Proud Boys are back, marching for him for the first time since January 6th.

On Christmas 2023, Trump told those with differing opinions to “ROT IN HELL.” Lets see if he continues to fuel division, hatred, and chaos in our nation.
