The El Paso crossing cannot remain closed. Hundred of US Citizen children cross daily to go to school in El Paso. Not allowing them passage is denying then their Constitutional right to an education. And regardless of what you feel about birthright citizenship, these kids are citizens.

Remain in Mexico was an humanitarian nightmare during COVID, when immigrant numbers were down. It's only going to be v worse this time around.

That clown TX Governor tried a similar stunt, with “enhanced inspections” which slowed everything to a crawl at the TX border crossings (not even sure it was closed, just ridiculously slow). It ended after a few days. I’m sure mostly because GOP donor class was getting hurt by lost business. These people don’t give a crap about a few hundred kids being locked out of school. But the second it hurts their own business they’ll start hollering.
