First, Trump won't ever get around to implementing this foolishness. If he does, schools and libraries should ignore this foolish directive unless Trump fully funds the replacement of all books, charts and maps affected by this.

Naming things after people is a way to honor them. Why should we honor those who took up arms against the USA? ( same applies to the j 6 peeps, they are a lot of things, the word patriot does not apply).

Once again this could be an example of American exceptionalism. We could be the only country in the world that designates that body of water as the Gulf of America. UNGEGN (the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names) is responsible for the designation of the names of major bodies of water and I seriously doubt that the organization would agree to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico which has been its internationally recognized name for over 300 years to satisfy the ego of an American politician with narcissistic personality disorder.

And everyone DOES realize there are added costs to this arbitrary Gulf of Mexico renaming move, right? In publishing, reference materials, the list goes on. Added costs = increased labor and materials costs = price increases.
