This is a kid I really expected big things from, as he was lights out at Marietta HS. He QB'd his team to a state title his senior year, and I believe they also beat a nationally ranked team in a post season game as well. Coming to Florida to me would be a great situation for him as well as Florida! I actually believe his talent base is better than what Florida could have expected out of Purdie. He has all the tools....size, arm strenght and has seen some time as a decent starter!

The best possible outcome is that he'll never have to take a snap here at UF other than in slop time. Of course when you look at UF QB history, how many times in the last 15 years has the starter been able to play the entire season? We've had a lot of QB injuries over the years.

He had some weapons at Marietta. Arik Gilbert was his TE and he has some really fast WRs. But yeah, I thought Harrison was going to excel in college.
I think he's a perfect fit for Florida.

And besides, Perdieis full of shit. No one is dumb enough to think they're coming in to take DJ's job

And DJ was injured almost immediately when he got the job. He toughed it out and played almost every game, but he was dinged up.

And he wasn't even the Game 1 starter! History tells us that we better have someone that can be an effective back up at QB because they will most likely have to play meaningful minutes at UF.

I didn’t know Clay Millen is a walk on! With signing of Bailey, we have 3 QBs on scholarship, need one more?

We really have to get busy going up fast and not turtling the last half. Someone (its definitely not going to be BN) needs to get us up 30 in the last quarter so backups like him can get game action because as you suggest we always seem to lose our QB before half the year is over and need someone who can jump in and move the chains reliably.

It has in fact been rare for UF in the past 2 decades to have a game 1 starter snap every down in nongarbage time. We have been snake bit.
