Once LSU made adjustments, there was 0 answer on the offensive side of the ball. It became just throw the ball at the hoop and pray it goes in. Then the players just make lax passes that make 0 sense.

You're not going to field a competitive women's team until you upgrade the coach and coaching staff. She's a great recruiter, but the product is just not there on the court.
24 turnovers? We should have a better program than Kentucky's women...no excuses. They have male coaches (like LSU) and recruit more balanced types of players.
I dont know what or why KRF took Kyle off the floor for the first 5 minutes of the 4th quarter but it was a HUGE mistake by the staff..the refs with the unbalanced calls with travels or moving screens really killed our spirit..But KRF made a HUGE coaching error not playing Kyle to start the 4th if she wanted to really win. Not sure what she was thinking
5 or 6 of those were very questionable travel calls or illegal screen calls. Really cost us, I dont think LSU had one of those calls today. ..oh shit the LSU girl who just fouled out threw the crowd a bird and she is catching it on the bench from her coaches..

An upgrade has to be made. We're just hoping that Kelly Rae is suddenly going to take a huge step forward, but the team's record has declined each season. It will be a struggle to finish above .500 this season.
only thing that separates us from being a good team is turnovers..today I will say at least 9 or 10 were just awful. There were a lot that LSU got a really good whistle from the refs. I fully question some of the decisions coming from the bench, once we went zone we were alot better against them. Yet KRF would switch and then we were swiss cheese on defense. I dont know what happens in between quarters but we stink coming out of breaks. I aint used to having such a crowd to wait on after the games, it is kind of nice. LSU fans are really arseholes, this is one of the reasons why I cant stand LSU. Refs were scared to death of Mulkey today
we are not moving on from her this year..she needs a HUGE upgrade in an associate HC..Gardner is not working out. dude this is not a decline..the league is freaking crazy good. did you watch the game? Did you see all the freaky calls of shuffling feet on us and they didnt get one call of that? Or the illegal screens on us and none on them. Every one is taught the same way..They shuffled their feet over and over again and didnt even get one call. My issue was the lineup to start the 4th
A lot of thoughts after this one. First of all, Liv McGill is a special player. She carries this team. Without her we would be in trouble. Kyle has really impressed me this year with her improvement as has Warren. Losing those two after the year is going to be a bit of a blow because so far we haven't replaced them in recruiting IMO. Reynolds is good, but not sure she is the elite player we thought out of high school. We are going to need at least 3 impact portal players or next year will not be better. That first quarter was the best the team has played all year. Some of that was probably LSU looking forward to USC, but still we played well. Inconsistent play is still a huge concern. I did not think this game was poorly officiated for once. Most women's games are, but the turnovers are what killed us today and most games. You simply cannot continue to be sloppy and expect to be consistent. That's on coaching because it is an ongoing issue. Also agree with the previous post on Kyle... questionable coaching at best. All that said, we were not winning today and the success (moderate) or failure of this season will be in the next 4 games because all are winnable. We are not going to close out the season well with our schedule so this stretch is crucial. We will see what happens, but just too much inconsistency to have too much hope at this point. IF we can get to .500 and win a couple of post season games maybe Kelly deserves another season. She will get it regardless because the school has shown no real effort in trying to be serious about this sport. However, if we have a losing season this year and have continued regression then I think we need to take a hard look at where the program is going.
21-11 19-16 16-16 That's a decline and I haven't even included this season into that stat. Yes I watched the game. I saw a team that was completely lost on offense once LSU made adjustments after halftime. Also, you proved my point. The league is only going to get better, so are we going to just settle with finishing in the bottom quarter of the league each season or try to make a push to elevate? (see:Kentucky)
I hope there's some strong portal activity to find a replacement for Kyle. She's a force that will be missed in the coming seasons.
Oneal will be much better next year, she needs to stay inside more..she has very long arms and is a battler..she had 7 rebounds in very limited minutes due to foul trouble. Kitts will be a big help next year also, Alexia will be better at the 4..we have two really talented 4/5s coming in. We need some wings and the portal would be a good place, we are very good on money also. From conversations I had todays one of the reasons why we were heavily involved with recruits from out of country. NILs not such an issue with them. We need at least 2 wings ..You can see depth made a big difference..our backups not a good as the really good teams. We have a good starting 5.
