You would have big gov cut funding and hurt the citizens/infrastructure because of partisan bickering?
well. if you are going to quote me then atleast quote exactly what I said instead of editing it. I for one hope he does deport EVERY illegal who has come here since the 1970's. "Every damned one of them". And it would not surprise me if that number was 50 million, maybe even more.
yes there was supposedly around 10 million illegals he granted amnesty to, so they are not included in any theoretical numbers - Trump is the 1st Prez in my lifetime that actually has tried to secure the border
Have you ever given any consideration to how it would affect the US economy to deport probably 9 million workers? Or do you still just run away when that question is put forward to you?
Apparently you've forgotten the President George W. Bush signed the Secure Fence Act of 2006. Fact Sheet: The Secure Fence Act of 2006 Or that the size of the Border Patrol was significantly increased under both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
Not sure what you're saying. But do you think that the US economy losing up to 9 million workers (appx 6%of total) would cause any problems? Or will you be running away from that pesky question and troublesome issue?
So instead of running away you're going to go with a stall/change the subject strategy? Tell us then, please? How many illegal immigrants do you think are employed in the US economy?
So we're in the make it up phase of thinking what we want to think. Even if the US only deported a million workers it would have a tremendous impact on the economy. I still think people are dreaming if they think that this is going to be anything more than the deportation of mostly people already in custody. Operationally, it's just too hard to pull off. I can see them turning away all asylum seekers for a while, before Big Ag and others start to lobby enough that enthusiasm for this plan shifts back to the average. But the idea that they are somehow going to go door to door across US cities finding undocumented immigrants and then somehow moving them out of the country in a timely and inexpensive manner is a fairy tale. And I'm actually kind of shocked Anti-Big Gov republicans actually think the Federal Government can pull this off.
So you have no idea whatsoever? You're an informed, educated, and intelligent man, right? You've read things. What do you think the number might approximately be? Obviously, the follow-up question is going to be; "How does the US economy perform in the absence of those workers?" You just toss out stalling and changes of subject because you have no answer to that question. And neither does your makeup wearing con man.
they are here illegally and if companies are employing them illegally then I deport the workers and fine the employers
Fairy tale world is more comfortable for Trump supporters. Just watch this guy dodge attempts at rational discourse.
I have a great idea of a rational estimate. I've posted it for you before. Then you ran away from the conversation. Just like you're trying to do now. I think it's hilarious to see a grown man so averse to a rational conversation. Here's another estimate (below) that is probably reasonably accurate. It begs the question; "How does the US economy perform in the absence of those workers?" According to estimates from the Center for Migration Studies of New York (CMS) and other groups, as many as 8.3 million undocumented immigrants work in the US economy, or 5.2 percent of the workforce.
