It's a tough question for a confused situation. On the one hand she roomed with a biological female who had no idea she was transgendered, and therefore had no reason to take offense over a transgendered woman's presence in the locker room or the dorm room. No one was harmed in this situation.

But this San Jose State athlete is attractive and I can see where she could draw the attentions of males in a gymnasium or dormitory situation. It could, and likely would, cause all sorts of problems unlikely in the alternative scenario. In these circumstances, to avoid such problems, or confusion of any sort, I think it better she be directed to the locker room frequented by athletes who share a similar physical appearance. My 2 cents.

I identify as male but if someone put up a million dollars I might bet them I have 2 X chromosomes. I was pretty dominant in male sports btw. Had my picture on the front page of the sports section of a newspaper. Beneath my photo it said "Superathlete (or Super-athlete). Never been genetically tested but I might even take a bet for $30k over whether I have 2 X chromosomes. I've always felt a little like a lady. I'm cooking 2 pork shoulders for some homeless people and 7Eleven employees beginning in 60 minutes. I'm a sensitive guy. Take my bet, if you dare.

Back in the day my wife was a super athlete in several sports. She was very good on the tennis courts, She was unbeatable on a foosball table and she carried a 195 bowling average. Guys couldn't stand getting beat by a girl. They would get pissed off at me because she beat their asses. I remember a foosball doubles tournament we won where at the trophy ceremony the 2nd place team jumped all over me saying I sucked that Jeanie was the team. LOL I just laughed and asked "how did you like getting beat by a girl and her sucky partner?"

I was the ping pong champ of Rawlings Hall. There was some sort of campus ping pong championship. I had to play the Broward Hall champ who was a girl. I remember I had a crap (non-foam) paddle but as my grandfather used to say, "A poor workman always complains of his tools." I didn't lose by much but I lost. Pretty humiliating. When I started to play racquetball a really good female player handed me my a$$. She also physically dominated me when I was around 5 years old. Beat me on the SAT as well. I have a picture of her standing next to Joe Biden in Silicon Valley. If we talk politics I smoke her. Liberalism is a mental disease.

And what did the NCAA do in response to that bill? They want to kill college football by eliminating the transfer portal rules.

That whole organization needs to be dissolved from top to bottom and reconstituted somewhere in a southern state.

And I guess you have no problem with the university, knowing that she was transgendered, placing her with a female that didn't know? The whole thing is just wild. I mean what in the hell were they thinking?

You are aware that she had full genital surgery, had been on female hormones for an extended period of time and absent a full physical including an internal exam and a test of her chromosomes she was physically indistinguishable from a genetic female?

It sure seemed to bother the girl. I am sure you would argue that her rights are not as important as the trans player. The university knew and they should be held accountable. If it is not a big deal, then why did they hide it.

While the NCAA is feckless, you actually have to give a lot of blame to the courts who keep kneecapping them. In this case both UW and likely the player had their own corrupt roles in this “deal”.

With UW not letting the kid in the portal, and the kid just ignoring the whole process, it’s kind of funny the NCAA basically just flat out admit: “you know those rules and new system we set up for transferring, nevermind y’all, none of that even matters!”. I assume this take was colored by recent court rulings which basically called into question their ability to dictate eligibility. Basically an honest admission things are out of their control. If the courts say it’s an illegal restraint on trade to control eligibility or to limit transfers (or go to class?), then I’m not sure how simply creating a new governing body addressees that. The courts should rule exactly the same way.

I’m not sure how this can be fixed. Maybe congress could address some of the crazy by giving the NCAA back some authority by law (sort of like how sports leagues have had anti-trust exemptions in the past), but y’all keep focusing on transvestites while the system rots with corruption.
