Started 4 games last season at southern miss. Hopefully the coaches see something I’m missing here. Weird take.
Of the 3 safeties we took in the portal last year I expected the least out of Bridges, who lost his starting spot at Oregon. Yet, he balled out way more than hurt Turner and Douglas. So…I’ll wait and see to see if he contributes.
Think this is a real reach for a 6th year senior in secondary. Perhaps taken for his punt and kick returning skill set on special teams?
Well, I'd think keeping your starting spot at Oregon would be a tad bit tougher than keeping it at USM.
He started 4 games in 2023….that was two seasons ago. He was listed as a starter for their final game last year (no one, including southern miss website) lists how many games defenders starters at southern miss so I just looked up their final game listed starters. So, he may not have lost his job- I think people are getting his 2023 season and starting just 4 games and confusing it with 2024 season.

Welcome to Gator Nation young man. I cannot understand some individuals need to relieve themselves on good news. Yet proclaim to be “fans.”
Hope we don't "need" him to play a major role. The good news for him is that he gets to be a Gator. Congratulations.
Being a fan doesn’t mean you have to whistle and be excited about every move a 19-19 staff makes. Any team in the SEC would question this take. We still hope we are wrong because we are fans.
Which makes me wonder which is yours. True Gators celebrate players wanting to be Gators, we don’t piss on a welcome thread of a kid who has committed to be one of us. I noticed you didn’t welcome the kid, but you felt called out by a post that wasn’t even directed at you. You offered no break down of his film as a cause for concern or any other empirical reason you think “ANY SEC” team would question this player. Hmmm, is it his hip flip, his high point, or maybe his height as a 6’2 CB that’s your concern. Please, enlighten us with what data you used to post that statement. I’m guessing you never opened a clip to watch. This kid is skilled and likely took the CC route due to academic reasons out of high school. He’s talented enough that people who get paid millions to be experts on the matter liked what he could bring to the team. SMH
