    So, are contracts unenforceable now?
Is the portal unenforceable and useless now?

    Anything goes, is here, sadly.

Why are certain schools like Miami always the ones screwing things up in college football. They screwed with the NIL and our recruits. And now they screw with the transfer portal... like they have the right to make up their own rules.

The sooner the power 4 conference universities fire the NCAA president, the better off college sports will be.

    Screw Miami.

    Go Gators!

If players can break agreements then schools trading players without the players agreeing to it is right around the corner.

UW screwed the pooch on this one. They should have let him transfer.

There was no rev share contract to enforce. Sure papers were signed but it was a contract that wasn't legal, not until the approval of the house deal in April and still didn't go into effect until July 1st.

He had every right to enter the portal during the window which he requested.

If it is true that his reason is because of a family sickness/to be closer to home, that makes UW look even worse.

Fun for him. Living in Miami versus Wisconsin seems like a no brainer.

I'd say the gumps were the number one culprit in screwing up CFB and making it semipro with the mutts a close second. OSU third. And Texas, A&M, USCw and few others probably ahead of scUM.

They've been "ruining things" for decades (maybe even centuries). But sadly, I don't have any idea how to remedy the situation. And to top it all off, they are ridiculously expensive when you have to use their services.

They always have. They are supposedly there to protect us on one hand but end up being used to avoid getting what you deserve .

Good for him, you can't force a player to stay at a school he doesn't want to be at.

A long sordid history of either complete negligence or outright culpability... picking favorites has been the norm from the NCAA as far as applying their rules. Several schools seem to be their favorites at different times. And the NCAA has acted to almost destroy some schools that they do not like in an arbitrary, inconsistent application of their rules kind of way.

We see how some schools get away with anything they want, while others can buy someone a meal and give them pocket change and get torched for it.

If Miami gets away with this latest rules violation, then the NCAA has to be investigated.

"We" didn't really have anything to do with the NIL deal... that guy is working for Miami. Napier never had anything to do with that crazy NIL deal. And those involved with the NIL deal are no longer representing The Gators.
