He obviously won't do anything of the sort. Because those people are mostly white he's just lying.

But those are two very good ideas, that would help stop the invasion. Let's suggest and implore conservatives take up the call :

    1) Go after the employers!
    2) Start with wins in sympathetic red states!

What say ye, patriotic Trump supporters?! Will you join in this (Real) America First plan?!

Trump obviously shouldn’t just target red states. But he also shouldn’t target only blue.

Why aren't we talking about raiding farms? The Farm Bureau has already stated that up to 70% percent of farm workers are undocumented. Should be an easy target. Go to every farm and arrest every farmer and deport all of their employees. Is it because no one wants to pay $30 for a gallon of milk?

Can you imagine if the govt really comes in and rounds up all of farmer’s workers, hauls them off?

People shouldn't be here illegally, but nuking our economy to spite our face is just asinine. They need to fix the problem, not create an even worse problem.

Yep, instead, they will PR blitz a fairly common set of ICE activities for Fox News purposes. They know that their audience is unaware of the fact that ICE raids in cities are pretty common occurrences (as Fox has been telling them that we have an open border and that nobody is enforcing our dumb election laws when we have an ever growing government bureaucracy doing that every day).

And the big three meat processing companies. And all those home construction companies.

I’ve joked about this in the past…

Do people really believe that ICE agents have been sitting at home on Zoom calls for the last 4 years!?

I suspect that they don't really think about it. But they feel like that because that is what they saw on their TV.

See also crime rates and perceptions of the economy. You are about to see large shifts in "feelings" about each, likely without substantial differences in either the level or first derivative of either.

Ridding red states of dog eaters wouldn't be targeting those states, it would be helping them. At least according to the Trumpy false narrative.

And Trump has made a cornerstone of his "governance" rewarding friends lackeys and punishing enemies. I just think he should do the same here.

Unless he's just a liar telling racist lies about an issue he has zero intention or ability to fix.

Except for a few show raids of small farms Trump's ICE will not be raiding farms for two reasons. First, even Donnie knows that deporting large numbers of undocumented farmworkers will send the price of food through the roof and secondly and maybe even more significantly the owners of megafarms are also large donors to Trump and Republican candidates and he wouldn't want to alienate them by deporting large numbers of the workers upon which they rely for their financial success.

I wish someone like @Gatorrick22 or @g8orbill would come in and tell us if farm should be one of the first areas targeted since it wouldn't take much effort to find people.

Based on the comments by Mr Homan, I expect the first targets to be those who have committed crimes

I expect those to be the first and only targets. That will account for a very small percentage of undocumented immigrants, since the vast majority of them are law-abiding. There aren't going to be mass deportations. I don't think even Trump is dumb enough to follow through on that promise.

I thought I read here that simply being in the US illegally was committing a crime. No?
