Graham Mertz was certainly a good find out of the portal

 

Mertz was a great pickup, Miller had a freak injury that medical screwed up...that's it for this staff

A very nice experienced #2 QB; he's a poor man's Nussmeier. Big guy who can make throws. Not a runner, but mobile.

 

And people said here that he was a bum.

Thought there was another guy too, but maybe he was a WO too. Suffice to say Billy is not too good at getting top notch QB's outside of Lagway. I'd consider Mertz middle of the road. Kind of a Noah Brindise type (or one of those nondescript QB's Saban won nat champs with) that could've done OK in an O like SOS's with talent around him.

 

Clay Millen was also a good pickup. Just don’t have a clue about his status. Aiden Warner may turn out to be a great addition before all is said and done.
