    I think it’s Stacy Abrams. Steph does the weather.

    I think Stacy and Fani should get together and form a new law firm, Abrams & Willis. They could focus on defending people charged with fraud.

    That was just lawfare, bro. But raise your hand if you voted for a felon.

    Also;

    NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump became the first former American president to be convicted of felony crimes Thursday as a New York jury found him guilty of all 34 charges in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through a hush money payment to a porn actor who said the two had sex.

    Jo, please just stop with that every time. Trump ‘s actions do not excuse Abrams’. If someone claims what her group did means only one side violates rules and laws, then your point is relevant. But not now.

    Somewhere, Rick Scott, the $1.7 billion healthcare fraud settlement guy, is laughing at this thread.

    how many links from how many complaints over how many years are required to establish a pattern. Abrams was foolish, she jsut should have hired lawyer sto string it out until she died or they agreed to settle for no admission of guilt.

    This thread was about Abrams, not Trump. If you want to start a thread about Trump you are free to do so.

    Is it not relevant that people who complain about Abrams' alleged -or real- wrongdoings, don't give a **** about crimes by people they voted into the highest office of our country?

    I think it is.

    Some would call it hypocrisy of the highest order.

    I'm gonna respectfully disagree. What this thread shows is someone selectively caring about when the law, well......matters.

    It's flagrantly hypocritical. To put it mildly.

    How about looking at it like this:
    Is it not relevant that people who complain about Trump's alleged or real wrongdoings, don't give a shit about crimes by people they tried to vote into the highest office in our state?

    It works both ways, doesn't it?

    Fair point. However;

    - How many people here ignored crimes by Abrams by casting a vote for her? None.

    - How many people have, literally for years, been arguing that the just made known transgressions by Abrams are not important, or even real? None.

    Now contrast that with the numerous people who have been quite aware, for years, of the crimes by Trump. And have literally said that those crimes -multiple indictments, multiple convictions- are not relevant, no not even real.

    But now they are stalwarts of law and order wrt Abrams? Sort of - since they still don't even acknowledge the criminality they actually voted for.

    Certainly you cannot deny the insane level of hypocrisy.

    William F Buckley said that James Burnham was the greatest strategic thinker in the West. In his 1964 classic Suicide of the West, Burnham noted that one of the hallmarks of a liberal is his "selective indignation." The liberal has no enemies to his political left. Liberals would rale against Hitler but never Stalin, for example.

    Your use of the word "selectively" is a nice example of confession by progression.

    Not really, and ironically this actually reads like one of those “process crimes” righties keep talking about! Amazing.

    Now when we had that Michael Cohen situation, you had the element of not documenting the pornstar payoff properly (lack of campaign finance documentation alone being a so-called process crime), but you *ALSO* had the element of it being fraudulently recorded as a business expense, which then went to the direct personal benefit to an individual.

    Similarly, when we were talking about “process crimes” related to Mike Flynn, it was money that went straight to him personally. The man was an agent of a foreign government (Turkey) for crying out loud. Yes, it was a “process crime” for him to fail to register as a foreign agent, but certainly you must admit it’s a totally different ball game when a National Security official is on the take from a foreign govt!!!???

    Several of those Trump-adjacent issues are more akin to Senator Bob Menendez, corruption. Again where Menendez took money from a foreign govt (Egypt). Process crimes? I’d prefer we treat Menendez and Flynn’s actions more like treason. I don’t see a single poster on here defending him or saying that guy should be anywhere but prison.

    I see no such allegation here. So literally we are talking about a process crime from 2017-2018, and the allegation doesn’t include allegations of malfeasance with where the $$$ went (although of course if the organization was loose with registering they may have been loose with spending, so I guess we can see if anything actually interesting comes of it… but short of that it’s sort of pathetic if not totally dishonest to equate them to Trumps crimes against this country).

    You make a good point. Abrams was rightly charged and fined by the regulating agency. She was not brought into criminal court for what she did. If they had fined the Trump Campaign for the ledger error then that would have been fine. But we all know they didn’t do that.

    Funny how the article doesn’t mention criminal charges against Abrams personally. Maybe Lawfare is real??
