Rod Dreher’s Law of Merited Impossibility …

“It’s a complete absurdity to believe that women will suffer a single thing from the expansion of transgender rights, and boy, do they deserve what they’re going to get.”

Thanks for preaching to us, yet you didn't offer any solutions to the issue. I think most people don't really care if someone wants to or does "transition". They just don't think it is fair for them to compete in sports where males have a clear biological advantage over females.

Here's a suggestion. Why don't we simply let everyone compete against everyone. No male/female, everyone competes for the same thing. Let's take swimming as an example. No more men's and women's 100M freestyle, just a 100M freestyle. All the men, women and transgender folks can compete, with preliminary heats of course, to determine who swims in the semi-final and/or final. Would that be an acceptable solution?

    Well done.

But I'm a pretty good example of the general populace. It just doesn't affect most of us. A single bit.

Now this super duper important issue does serve as a very good distraction, for dishonest or even criminal politicians, who like to get people really really angry while they commit crimes or defraud our nation. But being easily distracted by fake culture war issues is apparently just who we are...

Well now that we know that it has to be important to Jo to be relevant, we will keep that in mind when selecting which issues to care about. ;)

In this scenario jo would keep walking if they are the front guy because, no need to care if it didnt happen to them.

Although the probability of either is rather low there is a much greater chance of your daughter, wife or sister being denied medically necessary reproductive medical care than there is of your daughter competing against a transgender person yet latter has become much more of an issue than the former. In fact, one can argue that making the latter (participation of transgender person in athletics has distracted from the former (denial of reproductive healthcare).

Or at least keep in mind which issues not to be distracted by, such that you'll vote for a felon and sexual assaulter. Or the ONLY President in US history to try to not peacefully transfer power, and who enacted a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election. :)

Or, if applicable instead, try to keep in mind which issues are actually not important enough to justify support for the political party criminal organization which actively lies to enable the criminal who intentionally subverted our democracy.

Maybe, ya know, look at the big picture and recognize what is happening and what is more important. ;)

    Complete BS! Serious BS!

Stop the lie the killing an unborn child has anything to do with denying medical care to the mother. It just is not true. There is not one law stopping a doctor from making what would be one of the worst decisions of their career. Two lives and you can only save one. Any mothers whose life is at risk can receive every bit of care they need.

Uh..well, OK, man. I respect you - I don't want to turn this into a 'he said, she said, someone changed' type of conversation.

And I'm also gonna not lay stuff on you.

But I'm just going to put it this way; there are a lot of people who are REALLY upset about transgender people. Who probably don't impact their lives.

Those same people don't seem to care - no, they actively LIE or embrace lies about literal attacks on our government, which are politically motivated. And that DOES change our country and our lives.

We need to get our priorities in order. Some of the the things our people tolerate are truly shocking and revolting. And should be considered unacceptable. And transgender issues aren't really one of them.

(Now, since I'm not laying anything on YOU, IMO I'm not really "moving any goalposts." But I find it unacceptable.)

I am still so neutral on this subject. They haven't proven that a trans woman is more equal to a naturally born woman as far as not having an advantage, yet there are less than 5 trans women who have competed in women's sports, zero have obtained a sports scholarship for it. So are we making a mountain out of a mole hill?

We are all just organic matter and so some women can have more testosterone than other women, giving them an advantage. I just don't know what to think about the whole thing to be honest.

no way a male should be allowed to compete with girls after puberty - it is in no way a level playing field

Why not just get rid of women's sports then. They exist for a reason. Do you actually think that women athletes would be competitive with male athletes? These are not intramurals.
