Reported he had an $8 million offer to enter transfer portal, and he turned it down. Not sure if this was before or after their quarterfinal game. But if he thinks he is going high in the draft or will make that kind of money next year in the nfl, he’s crazy. Right? I just don’t believe some of the numbers being thrown around. Eventually the market’s will crash.

These numbers seem very inflated. $8 million? Lol.

    I'm in for renaming something:

    N - National
    C - Collegiate
    A - Auction
    A - Association

    What say you?

If players can make more staying in school, I wonder if this will cause them to rethink the rookie wage scale

Why? I would think the NFL would prefer for them to get more experience (and not one their dime). It's not like the kids can stay in the NCAA. It's your 2nd contract where you paid in the NFL (other than the signing bonus piece for 1st rounders).

These guys are nothing more than mercenaries these days. I am not impressed with Ewers.

Not that the nfl is hurting for viewers but I would think they’d like to get someone like Arch in the league sooner than later would be appealing to them.

I know he’s rare and definitely agree with the experience angle helps the gms protects themselves from themselves. Just thinking out loud.

And who knows if the limits on years in they can play in college stays around, they’re already talking about giving a 5th year and the courts seem to have struck down every other rule.

I think it was 28 million that Anthony Richardson got guaranteed. I don't think those kind of players will be staying in college because I don't think anybody will pay that. But 4 to 8 mil for a quarterback, that can be the difference of putting your team in the playoffs, I can see it

Yep, better in college one year at a time for top 20 or so qb's but tge nfl is guaranteed money. Ist rounders are no brainers though.

certainly can't blame the kids. If i was getting offers for $8M/year for my work, i'd certainly consider it.

He has nothing left to prove in Austin. They are ready to move on from him just as Georgia was ready to move on from Beck. But to walk away from the kind of money that means you will be set for life? I don't get it.

I would play a season in Alaska or North Dakota for that much money. Then I would retire in south and never work again.
