I only hope they lose, but I hope Notre Dame loses also. The only satisfaction I will get is for losses and I don't care for either team. The guy I spend happy hour with and fish with is an Ohio State fan unfortunately and I will be happy for him, but I still tell him every day that Ohio State sucks and everybody from Ohio sucks .

 

What is the over/under for how many times will we sack Troy Smith during the game?

 

I had to look that up the other day and was surprised that it was only like six or eight times. Reminiscing about it over the last years. It seemed like it had to be a dozen.

 

Not exactly... Close losses to the eventually champ the last 2 seasons: 6 pts at Michigan last season and 1 pt to UGA two seasons ago.

Didn't play UGA three seasons ago, and blown out by Bama in title game the season before that.

 

I was at the Fiesta Bowl, and I can witness to all of you first hand that OSU fans were overconfident, obnoxious idiots before the game, and insufferable, miserable 2 year-olds afterwards.

They all didn’t think that we deserved to be there, and said that to our faces, more than once, often with a fake smile on their face, and usually protected and surrounded by a mob of friends.

I hate OSU.

Before the game, one almost got his butt kicked for sticking his finger in a young Gator fan’s chest and saying “We’re going to make you cry. Better be ready for a spanking”. I think he said that OSU was going to kick our @$$es too. That made the little boy cry, and I had to hold my friend back from delivering justice because I didn’t want him arrested or detained and miss the game defending someone else’s child, especially when the parent was standing right there.

After the game, one couple closed the elevator door in our faces at the hotel and yet another group cursed at us at the restaurant. Dirty looks were par for the course until we flew home.

Ever since, my perfect Saturday is when the Gators win and OSU loses.

 

I'm going to chew leather and root for OSU. At least they have to play by the same rules as everyone else.

 

Yeah man - I was in Glendale for that one too. Breakfast at the hotel the morning after was so satisfying!

Also there at an epic tailgate. OSU fans were insufferable. They are high on the list of worst fans ever.

 

I imagine this was at its peak after OSU whathisface brought the opening kick back (Ted Ginn ?) and tapered down as the game progressed. It was an absolute beat down.

My friend Joe Proctor orchestrated it with a few of his friends, and it was like Gator oasis in a sea of red…
He and his three or four friends were wearing big sombrero hats and had catered a local business to put on a massive barbecue.
Seems every GATOR fan in sight gravitated to our party along with some of the cops in the parking lot!
After the game, the parking lot looked like a desert, as only Gators had remained inside to revel in the post victory celebration.
(We had excellent seats behind our team, but I estimated the fans were about 80/20 favoring the buck nuts. They cleared out lickety-split by the end of the game, cursing and whining)

 

Nah. Until ND chooses to play by the same rules as everyone else, I'll never root for them. Not to mention, the current ACC is literally tailored for them.
