One could argue Trump low rating was due to a pandemic.

Currently Biden’s approval rating sits at 36%, shocking for a POTUS with such low UE, good growth and a good Stock market.

    This says it all.
    CNN —
President Joe Biden will leave office with his approval rating remaining at the lowest level of his term and his favorability rating close to his personal low, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Americans broadly view Biden’s four years in office more as a failure than as a success, with his administration doing little to turn around persistent negativity about the state of the country generally or about its economy.

Overall, 36% of US adults say they approve of the way Biden handled the presidency, matching his previous low mark in CNN polling during his term.

Once again this was about Biden not Trump BTW

One who didn't know anything, and thought they could deceive people who do know something.....could argue that.

But Trump's final rating wasn't much different from his approval during his entire term.

So your deceptive service to Trump fails yet again.

Only a fool would ignore a pandemic having a negative effect on a POTUS approval rating.

What’s your excuse for Biden’s currently terrible rating?
It’s been pretty poor the last two years.

Biden wrongly gets the blame for inflation after the pandemic.

    LOL.

Meh, Biden's approval ratings are dragged down by inflation that neither he, nor any President, could have controlled to a much greater extent than he did.

it would in my opinion be foolish to argue otherwise.

Looks like massive deficits during, and for a few years after, two major crises.

During Obama's last 4 years we saw significant deficit reduction.

Then we had major deficit increase under Trump while not during a crisis.

Now, if the past trend were to repeat -that is to say, if we have a fiscal situation similar to that under Obama once the crisis was contained......we would immediately see deficit reduction.

Does anyone rationally think that that's about to happen? :)

And Trump wrongly gets the blame for higher unemployment during the pandemic. While nearly every country around the world did the same thing.

The more accurate metric is federal debt (the total owed by the government) or deficit (the annual shortfall) as a percentage of GDP rather than the total amount.

If people blame Trump for unemployment during that period I agree with you.

Getting back to the subject of this thread this is Taiwan Semiconductor Plant being constructed near Phoenix, AZ partially funded by Joey's Chips and Science Act.

    • TSMC's Arizona plant is part of a $65 billion investment that's the largest foreign direct investment in Arizona history.
    • The plant is expected to create 6,000 direct jobs and tens of thousands of indirect supplier jobs.
    • The plant's first fab is expected to start producing chips in the first half of 2025.
    • The second fab is expected to come online by 2028.
    • The plant will produce the smallest microchips, which are used in artificial intelligence, smart devices, and other advanced applications.

I tried to find a photo of the Foxconn plant that was supposed to be constructed in Wisconsin during Donnie's first term. Couldn't find one.
Foxconn mostly abandons $10 billion Wisconsin project touted by Trump
Foxconn’s giant factory in Wisconsin sounded too good to be true. Turns out it was
Edit: I did find a photo. Unfortunately the buildings are all largely empty
Inside the empty promises and empty buildings of Wisconn Valley.

I never said Biden would be considered great. He will probably be considered average.

The vaccine was developed under both presidents. The rollout of the vaccine for the general public occurred under Biden and was successful. Most of the economic impacts of Covid occurred under Biden. That just how a virus works; it spread exponentially through the population until the vaccine and the protective measures brought it under control. The U.S. under Biden also did a good job of managing medical treatment for Covid patients. Only a few cities had hospitals overloaded with cases, and that was for a short period of time. Biden also made sure the economy did not collapse during the pandemic.

Trump did a poor job of solving the crises that he claimed were important, with immigration at the top of the list. He only put up 54 miles of fence on the border. His own party blocked his efforts to build a wall. Trump was lacking in political skills on the most basic level to persuade his own party to cooperate with him. He certainly did not get Mexico to pay for it. His first term will probably be ranked in the bottom 10% of the presidents. Maybe his second term will be better.

Intel also has a campus in AZ (on the opposite side of the metro). I’ve always wondered about the economics of putting one of those plants in that location. Those buildings are kept quite cool in an insanely hot place. When we built one of Intel’s facilities there was a section of the job site that routinely reached over 130°.

    Nothing wrong with that.

Your party nominated a sexual assaulter felon, who also is the only POTUS in US history to attempt to not peacefully transfer power.

The criminality and vileness of today's Trump party will probably never be repeated. Congrats on being a part of that.

Solar panels have been installed at the plant and although they probably will not provide enough electricity to fully power the plant they should reduce the need to obtain power from the grid.
TSMC announced its Arizona microchip factory 3 years ago. Here's what has happened since then - Arizona Technology Council (Note: The article was apparently published in 2023)
Liu, TSMC’s chairman, said the complex “will be the greatest fab in the United States” and one that will minimize water and energy waste, and with minimal airborne emissions, too. He also predicted TSMC will have the greenest fabs in the U.S., featuring an on-site industrial water reclamation plant, enough solar panels over parking lots to power more than 2,700 homes and processes to reclaim sulfuric acid, a chemical that’s used to clean and etch semiconductors. In an update this month, TSMC said about 20% of those solar panels are in place with installation set to be completed by early 2024. The water-reclamation plant, which the company said will allow nearly every drop to be reused, also is on track.

30% of adults in America have criminal records. Very common issue. Not sure it's as much of a detriment to finding employment as being a dimentia patient.

Note that only about 8% including the felon in (soon) the WH have a felony record.
