Maybe he left because of Beck. They had so much synergy. What's better for a RB who doesn't help with pass protection than a QB who feeds passes to the defense? It was a perfect recipe for a high number of running plays.

That's true, but as a UGA hater I derive much more joy in that ETN made a HUGE fumble just a few yards away from the end zone that cost UGA some points in a very close game. It's not a stretch to say that cost UGA the game, though that's arguable. ETN was also in the game when their QB made another huge fumble which led directly to 7 ND points. So I'm sure Smart cackled in glee as he took ETN from us and signed Rashada out of the portal. But wow- it sure looks to me that those 2 decisions really hurt him in the playoffs. Etn due to the fumble, and Rashada in that Smart apparently put dinging us over finding a better backup to Beck. If he signed a better backup, maybe that backup plays instead of Stockton and they are in the final game...
