I had to lock this thread and clean-up posted Twitter rumors and posts quoting that and discussing the rumors as well as insults. Apparently I was mistaken in giving extra latitude for discussion here. I have reminded everyone the Rules still apply in the 2024 thread and, yet, this is what we get a week into 2025. If I have to keep coming in and cleaning-up this thread will stay locked.
I wonder if Arizona State fans are still saying stuff like "All I can see is Pearsall getting lit up by those NFL safeties."
Has a gator fan I can see Princley being a pet rushing specialist and being on the bench for obvious running plays. Perhaps he becomes a run stuffer also and learns how to contain an edge. I don't see any similarities between Pearsall and Randy Moss, but he could be a hell of a Wes Welker if he was given the type of quarterback to shine in that situation
For the 3 years that he's been our head football coach. And Napier's offense has been very steady... hovering at around 62nd best in the nation... for 3 years. I'm not sure if it's a wise move to gamble away your entire coaching career in Gainesville on that statistical probability. That is tempting fate.
Nothing is final and people with direct access are still trying to convince Coach Napier he will be a better CEO if he gives up the play calling duties. My fingers are still crossed and I'm hoping the volume of people telling Coach the same thing causes him to reconsider but I don't expect it.
I am. Each of us are stubborn to some degree about some thing(s). However, we take the "not so good" with the good and with the great. Like I said, I'm still hopeful but not expecting.
I don't think he's making any more money than the average coach in the SEC though. The buyout is kind of nice, but we'll see what the people after him get
