Is it wrong to pull for leg humper Stafford of LA to get rolled? I mean I REALLY want him to be humiliated...
By letting that stay the Rams’ ball the stupid refs just made it legit for a quarterback to just literally drop the ball on the ground any time they’re getting sacked. That was highway robbery and a huge blow to a struggling Vikes team.
I think it should have been intentional grounding. Ball went less than 3 feet while the receiver was 10-15 feet away.
Stafford looked so much better than Darnold. Stafford knew who he was going to throw to when the ball was snapped. Darnold waited until he got to the pocket before thinking about who he was going to throw to. That's why he took 9 sacks.
Darnolds line didn't do him any favors but at some point you would think he would start throwing the ball out of bounds rather than take a sack. Some were unavoidable but others were not. He just killed his ability to demand a good contract with his Performances the last two weeks. Awful ending to what was a nice redemption story most of the year.
Rules commettee needs to take another look and reconsider what constitutes a forward pass, a sack and a fumble.
As a Saints fan, I hate both of these teams. Thanks to the events depicted, I have come to see that the NFL is WWE. Scripted entertainment to fulfill storylines and punish those who have angered Roger Almighty. Only this time, the storyline was forced late last week by the fires. Expect the Rams to win it all.
In the end it will still come down to the refs on the field and whatever their agenda is for any particular game. However the rules are written today, nobody in their right mind would look at that film and rule it an incomplete pass. Just add this on top of a giant growing stinking pile of bad calls with profound impact. It would have been 10-10 with an huge momentum swing and anybody’s game.
Greenard, Bullard and Powell are Gators on the Vikings. Viking coach McConnell refused to institute quick slants, play action or screens to help thwart the Rams' pass rush. Instead, he is in love with deep ball plays which take a while to develop, leading to sacks (9 sacks last night). The past 3-4 weeks, teams have just blitzed the house on Darnold. That's why his output has been decreasing the latter part of the season.
Attempting some of those play actions with that protection and the Rams pass rush was insane. Or inane. Either way.
Darnald cant think fast enough to get anything done in tge first second and thats why he was sacked. His brain is too slow.
