There are many factors. Money is certainly a big one, but it is not the only one. I don’t have access to all the variables.

Now do the last 4 years. We will see how those schools respond to no playoff and compare it to UF.

UF’s endowment isn’t being spent on NIL.

It could be with a couple phone calls. That’s kind of the point.

No it absolutely could not.....it's generally a bad idea to go spouting off on topics you don't really understand.

Hit the nail on the head. We have recruited some top ten classes and are retaining a large returning contingent of highly recruited players who are performing, so NIL is not being done on the cheap. You don't retain senior OL from a top OL if you aren't competitive in NIL. We just have to use the funds wisely to have a well-rounded team, which it seems we have arrived at.

Absolutely comical. Since your first sentence actually doesn't make sense I'm somewhat forced to decipher your meaning.
The UF endowment is comprised of funds already in place....the funds have NOTHING to do with the UAA and never will. So you can put that out of your head right now.....for UF and every school in the country. Also, the UAA at present cannot fund NIL....that must come from outside sources. There will be a change in that limitation in the future, but there will be a limit of something around $20M.....and outside NIL will continue to exist on top of that. But rid your little mind of this endowment talk, has nothing to do with football.
You seem to insinuate that donors can be told what to do with their money via a phone call from the AD. Are you really under the impresession big donors haven't discussed the direction of funds with the UAA? Do you actually believe big donors can be told what to do with their giving? Are you naive enough to think that all donors are comfortable directing their $$ to teenagers who may or may not be deserving, may or may not be productive players, may or may not stick around longer than one season? Here's a little hint...a lot of them would rather support more tangible and lasting efforts. And I fully understand their rationale. Imagine if you were funding the NIL for 5 star Kamari Wilson, who ends up being a bust and basically checks out week 2 of the 23 season but hangs around and keeps drawing those big monthy NIL checks. Would that make you inclined to keep directing your money to NIL?
But yeah, keep thinking others can and should be told what to do with their money. I'm sure that will work out well

Are we talking about funding a professor chair for the engineering department? Boosters paying for NIL is a totally different subject from endowments throughout the university.

Interesting to see folks complaining about "where the money is going." First, the $1B of research dollars received by UF goes to... research. Unless you want to be FSU, state dollars intended for education should go to education, not the UAA. That is all earmarked money.

If there is an issue in funding, it was the UAA putting big dollars into minor sports rather than majors, and the UAA being a fat, inefficient organization. That was a choice in our history and has been addressed.

As to alumni, I am a UF donor and I chose where to give my money - which is mostly toward engineering, not the UAA. If folks don't like it that is fine, but it is not the University misallocating money. And people whining about being outbid can certainly reach into their pockets to fund NIL.

UF has plenty of alumni and plenty of alumni money. Look at average salary compared to Alabama or the real estate/business wealth in Florida versus Alabama. Sorry seasons certainly led to lowered donations but UF has plenty of money to compete in athletics and academics. Identifying $100M given by an alumni for the AI supercomputer as a reason our football team is not excelling due to lack of University focus is just idiotic.

It’s Scott stricklin’s job to convince them spending there money on Football is a better use of money than spending it on engineering. That’s the point I’m making the people who are tasked with making UF competitive in the NIL department are too much like the people on this board with the excuses. You either find the money to be competitive or you’re failing. If you’re failing you deserve to be fired. Until that happens none of this matters. You’ve been wrong since Muschamp I don’t care what you have to say you pump sunshine no matter what. Continue to read your own words if you want. The truth is the truth no matter what excuse you want to give.

Lol....spoken like someone that flat out doesn't get it. Tell us more about the endowment money you babbled about.
So if Stricklin calls you and tells you to give up your season tickets and booster fee and send that money to Fl Victorious for NIL instead , I guess your going to jump all over that offer.
