So you are angry that other people are not spending their own hard earned money in the way you desire, to benefit you and your football entertainment? Well, that's certainly an interesting way to view things. Good luck with that moving forward....it's a bit odd that someone who isn't doing anything to address the situation would complain about others not doing enough. I guess irony escapes some
This should be posted on every freaking thread. Often. Especially ones that mention previous coaches.
If you want more money to be spent, spend more money. If you’re not going to spend whatever you think is necessary to make us competitive, then maybe be appreciative that others are spending millions to help. If I was spending millions only to see people like you complain, I’d put my money somewhere else.
And we know he hates it already. I’d prefer not to piss him off by demanding he spend more to appease me.
Who said I was angry? I was just stating a fact that everything you view about Florida football should be viewed through those lenses. You’re more angry about me pointing out facts than I am about the state of UF football.
It is very obvious the UAA and Boosters are not willing to do what Bama, Georgia, Texas, A&M, and LSU are willing to do to win football games. 2024: Bama - 9-4 no playoff A&M - 8-5 no playoff LSU - 9-4 no playoff UF - 8-5 no playoff
Next time maybe say “I am not willing to spend enough to compete with Bama, LSU, TAMU, and Georgia” if that’s what you meant. You’ll get less backlash. No need to point fingers at others who are already spending millions if you’re unable or unwilling to do it yourself.
And I appreciate your perspective. Not being a big money booster and merely being a fan, I certainly have no inside information as to UF's "committment level". The surface narrative, as far as I can figure is: UF "fell off" after Urban because UF did not want to compete with infrastructure improvements compared to other SEC teams. UF "fell off" after Urban because it was neither "skilled" or "expert" as to how to "cheat" properly like Bama, and the rest. UF was more interested in academics than sports. UF's acting Presidents were disinterested in football or "lack of" sitting Presidents. UF is "Cheap". and so forth and so on. I certainly don't have any insider info. about any of this stuff, thats why I come here and other sites in hopes of picking up information.
My interpretation: Drew will make much more money and would actually play returning to PSU. Is he a textbook case of one of those: "Talented enough to stay in College", can make good money there, not good enough for the NFL?
I just want to point out this is a problem only on this site. My god please just go on a Discord channel or get a room and get the energy out. I mean I’m blocking you but for those that don’t.
And there again (speaking only for myself), is UF "really" being outbid? Just because UF offers does not necessarily mean "UF is interested and money is no object". Obviously there is a multiplicity of factors that weigh in on a offer and committment. Considering I am not privy to negotiations, I certainly will not claim otherwise. Being in sales, I do find lowest and highest numbers are far from the only factors in a purchasing decision, or in this case, HS or Transfer Portal kids signing with UF.
UF has a larger endowment than all but 3 SEC teams. The people deciding where the money is allocated are just as much of an issue as the old money boosters wanting a return on their dollar the Bama money doesn’t.
