Family values are an important, non-partisan issue. It's hard for me to favorably view anyone who contributes to the degradation of family values in America. 20231115_230413.jpg

Huh? It's fun to laugh at people who pretend to care about family values.

Don't get your weird 'wood wood' line though. You misspelling like that you "would" have sex with those women? Or is it just a not-funny erection joke about "getting wood" from those women?

What's next from you, some hero worship of Arnold Palmer's schlong, like your political idol publicly did?

Very strange. Maybe you should take things to a different forum?

That’s interesting, because you do not come across as an independent thinker.

I’m sure you did a great job, Bill. But the issue here isn’t parenting. It’s about appointing some to oversee a university who seems to think that higher ed is a bad idea for women.
It’s like putting someone on our athletics board of directors who thinks there’s too much emphasis on sports and that college football is too dangerous.

But you know the Taliban feels the same way about women and education. Best of company.

I cannot find the quote right now but in the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, there was mention of a saying of "3 before 30" meaning women wanted to have three child before they turned 30.

I was more fascinated what any of this had to do with dandruff/dander. I knew what he was trying to say, but don’t think I’d heard that idiom before. Didn’t make much sense.

Here is what I found on “get your dander riled up”.

The worst governor of my lifetime puts another bigoted, out-of-state crank on the board of a Florida university. Why not put Florida's public universities in the hands of buffoonish culture warriors who have no personal stake in the future of Florida? If they break things, it's not their kids who will suffer. As a younger person, it gets harder and harder to see a future in this state. Many of my friends already chose to leave for greener pastures.

A world-class educational system is invaluable. A state that has one is the sort of place you want to start a family. That was a big draw here in Florida. It's too bad some selfish people are sabotaging that purely for their political ambitions.

yet desi wants to put someone in charge of a state college that believes women shouldn't go to college. someone with no connection to the state of florida or higher educational credentials other than his backwards way of thinking about women, shared by desi and the gang.

would you want your daughters to be 100% dependent on their husbands for their livelihood? I wouldn't. We only have two but they damn sure know to be able to stand alone if they need to and not be dependent on someone else, man or woman. My son learned the same.

back to the OP, desi came out and said he didn't know how his appointee felt about women having a career or going to college and then tacked to being in defense to trying to change the subject and blame the ibbies and everythign being unfair..surprise..why should we jsut judge one statement? look, over there, libbie people that said bad things..everyone look at them...

DeSantis defends UWF board nominee who criticizes women prioritizing their careers • Florida Phoenix

But DeSantis claimed during a press conference Friday that he wasn’t familiar with Yenor’s views that women should put motherhood first, which he first garnered criticism for after his remarks at the National Conservatism Conference in 2021 and has since repeated in other writings and interviews.

“I’m not familiar with that. I mean, obviously, I think if you look at the state of Florida, we probably have a higher percentage of women enrolled in our state universities than we do men, and that’s probably grown under my tenure,” DeSantis said during the Jacksonville press conference in which he talked about the results of his education policy. “But what I don’t do, what I don’t like is cherry-picking somebody saying this, and then trying to smear them.”
    .............................................
“You can have people get appointed who have flagrant left-wing backgrounds, and that’s just swept under the rug,” DeSantis said. “You never hear legacy media trying to highlight any of that. So I don’t play those games. The proof is going to be in the pudding about what they’re willing to do.”

DeSantis also said during the press conference that there would be changes coming to UWF, referring to the institution as highly politicized. The shakeup of the board mirrors the governor’s overhaul two years ago of the board of New College of Florida in Sarasota.

Great post. Hopefully the hate from the left will stop after this. Doubt it. They just want to agitate!

None of that is relevant to the cretin described in the OP.

These comments should be pretty easy to condemn. Yet conservatives (the ones who presumably aren’t just manchildren doing their daily trolling) have a 100% deflection rate. Hmmm.

The Governor claimed to be unaware of Yenor’s views. Which is odd considering this guy has literally written books and papers which reflect those views. So either the Governor is flat out lying, or their “background check” somehow missed this guys… overriding ideology. I think I’ll go with option (a): dishonest liar doing more lying.

Years ago there was a thread on Too Hot discussing the TV show' The View'. I clearly remember you posting you would not allow / permit that TV show on any TV in "my" [your] house irrespective of any desire the females in [your] house might have to view it.

    Do you see the contradiction?
