I assume all 10 don’t have “significant competitive advantages” or we’d probably have heard more about them from right wingers looking to exploit this issue. It’s also possible some of them are competing as male which would be an athletic disadvantage.

Obviously if one of them has success or dominates, then it would be natural to assume they are gaining an advantage. To me that’s the only thing I’d care about, if they actually were gaining an advantage that needs to be looked at. In the case of Thomas since they only sat out 1 year you could actually compare their own NCAA results and see how they compared. It’s obviously ridiculous to be able to compete at a high level as a male and within 2 years compete at the same NCAA level as a female so it was good for swimming to fix that issue. I seriously doubt anyone is going to cut their junk off to gain an athletic advantage, but either way no need to entertain that with such a short time (1 year was like sitting out for an NCAA transfer).

Was going to say the same. Although it's somewhat of an exaggeration one commentator stated that state legislatures have enacted more laws prohibiting transgender athletes from participating in sports than are transgender athletes.

 

When you consider that this trope was a big part of them getting elected, yes. It's going to be interesting to see what new bogeyman they create moving forward. My guess is Bill will still be posting stuff about Biden 4 years from now.

 

That said, the refusal to call out obvious poaching like Lia Thomas is what allows them to sell this trope. Anyone with a brain could see what was going on there, that it clearly wasn't fair, etc. But, those on the left who are dogmatically tied to this issue, just couldn't. And we see this over and over with D's (and Rs). It's why - despite efforts to distance themselves from it - the R's were able to make them wear "Woke" like a flaming tire around the neck.

 

There are almost 350million citizens in the US, less than 20k of them are murdered by firearms per year. So why are we worried about gun control?

Not only does she look silly but she is also wrong.....There are more like 40 transgender athletes in college athletics not 10 but I didn't bring that up.
