Certainly not how a four team playoff would have looked if it were four teams, most would be saying 5-8 didnt have a chance anyway not at all allowing boise into that conversation.
It's weird looking back and thinking #1 Oregon didn't even get an extra home game like those left in the fray. Makes me wonder if we started with 8 teams and 5-8 would have went on the road to 1-4. how would the final 4 look now. Perhaps ASU would have won at home over Rocky Top. Oregon might have got off to a better start, maybe not. Could the home crowd in Athens pulled their team to victory and affected some of the big plays that went in NDs favor?
This Sports Illustrated article linked below does a great job of discussing EVERY aspect of the likability of the 4 teams remaining in the playoff. Well, maybe they miss a few aspects. It is a form of spoof of the many click-bait articles that infest the interweb these days with allegedly in-depth analysis of some aspect of something. The article is rather silly but moderately cute in discussing the various aspects or stereotypes of the various programs. One of the nicer parts of is that fans of the big whatever will not like the final results. College Football Playoff Likability Index: Ranking the Final Four Teams
Actually, there were quite a few of them scattered about in the lower sections of south end zone. Nary a one showed any class.
The end zones can be a little crazy with visitors. Game 1 was so long ago, I can't hardly remember the stands. Probably a good thing.
I wont forget the SCUM fans walking up and down the aisles chanting SEC SEC when it was obvious we weren’t in the ballgame….. EVER.
I can’t help but add that my seats were in the west stands in 1994 and as always my bottom was in my seat when Patrick Nix hit Frank Sanders with a last minute TD pass to beat us. Broke my heart. The Auburn fans were chanting “it’s great to be a Florida Gator” as we were exiting. At least the Auburn fans weren’t wearing beads, face paint and their trousers weren’t sagging 12 inches below their buttocks. I don’t forget sheet like that….EVER
