This is apparently what burnt my friend’s house down. He had an older historic home and it was one of a few structures in the area that burnt down.

is there a shortage of water in the reservoirs? it has absolutely nothing to do with the pipe sie and pump size limitations of the distribution system ZERO. Repeat after me NOTHING. only someone as stupid and simple minded as djt cannot understand it doesn't matter how much is int he cup if the straw is too small

if you want to talk about rich people not paying enough for water and sewer to update their systems, well that's nationwide, rich and poor. We pay way more for internet and cell service than we do for clean water and sewer, and it continues to show in our systems nationwide

electrifying the port not only makes environmental sense, it makes long term economic sense.

I’ll be gentle because your knowledge probably does not include natural resource management.
    1. I’ll assume you are probably more familiar with FL. Consider just the Big Cypress in S. FL. It is some 700,000 acres+. Reckon what kind of labor would be required to pick up dead wood? The cost would dwarf the DOD budget. What they do is conduct prescribed fire as a deterrent and despite being under water much of the year droughts and wildfire occur regularly down there. The fire in LA is in a residential area and prescribed fire is not feasible because of air quality aspects, highway safety and the likelihood it could get away. No agency conducts prescribed fire in a densely developed residential area. A few years ago there was a prescribed fire in Tate’s Hell State Forest in the panhandle and it got away and burned up 30+ homes in a sparsely settled area. Other prescribed fires have caused multiple fatalities on FL highways (I-4) due to smoke. I think it might be possible for municipalities to require fire resistant buildings and for homeowners maintain fire-safe landscaping on their property. After a few decades of lawsuits it might prove effective.

Also, the earth needs to have the nutrients contained in dead trees, limbs etc. returned to it.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing if both sides did that? Instead we get these types of posts.

here are the current reservoir levels in the state as of middle of december. every single one except one has one thing in common, they are all above historical averages..repeat after me, reservoir storage has ZERO= NADA= NOTHING to do with lack of water through the straws that feed the hydrants

We are in for four years of stupidity and it appears to be widespread.

Lots of excuses…no solutions just like the local politicians that failed their constituents. Cue the drama filled theatrics of major natural disaster theater

do you blame desantis for not forcing everyone in the flood zone to raise their homes and rebuild to new wind codes before Ian got here? stop and use your head for something besides a hat rack. new buidings in Cali have to be fire resistant just like new homes in florida have to meet fema and wind codes

the failures to upgrade and improve their domestic water distribution system is mirrored across the country in red and blue counties.

the lesson to be learned is that our infrastructure is inadequate..i think the last guy got a lot of money dedicated to helping fix things but it is a drop in the bucket. how many thousands of miles of distribution system upgrades could be done with money planned for temp detention centers and deportation operations? offer immigrants an opportunity to go to work camps for labor for infrastructure projects in exchange for right to work because current construction industry cannot handle a massive increase in infrastructure work. I can't even get my own transportation department to give me a proposal for roadwork right now and contractors are jsut as busy

did florida politicians fail their constituents when they didn't force them to rebuild their homes to new codes before Andrew hit? before Ian? when surfside collapsed?

the solution to this man made global change drought is to fireproof the exterior of the homes and spend extensive resources removing drought impacted dead wood

And people believe the silliness. It would be unbelievable if we hadn't experienced such inanity the last 9 years.

It's like we elected a vile, criminal scumbag to the presidency, who is only concerned about himself and doesn't give a **** about the country, especially those who didn't vote for him.

    Who knew?

A "CIA targeter" has been saying 1000 Al Qaeda types are in the US and they could take out tens of thousands of Americans this year.

A friend who knows a man who gives Obama intel briefings told me "2025 will be a year of carnage."

So far we've had the New Orleans attack. The LA fires look like possible arson. Homeless people often start these type of fires. Fireworks are often shot off in LA as well. Winds blow embers from grills...

Given US back8ng of attacks targeting civilians in Russia and US backing of the Sunni headchoppers in Syria we should consider the likelihood that the LA fires were started by
    Russian gangs
    Iranian gangs
    Antifa
    Al Qaeda types

Democrats have to be held accountable. They should have been focused more on stopping fires as Trump warned over 2 months ago on Joe Rogan
