Agree it's a game changing call. But the call was justified IMO, Warren had a chance to come back and play the ball but defender ran thru him and never turned for the ball.

#8 clearly interfered. Wasn’t even playing the ball when he ran into the receiver.

Consistency has been a big issue with officiating. There was clear holding on the run that got PSU into first and goal the previous series without a flag. There needs to be a way to hold the officials accountable, especially with gambling being legal now.

But there was another defender in front of both who made the interception. Even without the PI, I don’t know that the Penn State receiver could’ve caught the ball. I think at the most he might have disrupted the defender catching the interception.

 

Yes, he could have prevented the interception. Still a penalty
