I have not wept at the passing of any President of the United States before now. I wasn't old enough to remember the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And now, here I am, moved to tears at the loss of a man I did not vote for, knowing that a great light has gone out in the world. God bless you, Mr. President. Please treat this thread with the dignity and respect it deserves. If you can't say anything positive about the long life and dedicated service of this good and decent man, please start another thread.
I think his was the kind of life that inspired others to be of service to humankind. Voting for him was the first vote i ever cast.
