And at the same time..... FDA Proposes Ending Use of Oral Phenylephrine as OTC Monograph Nasal Decongestant Active Ingredient After Extensive Review Apparently they studied this and made their ruling but didn't bother to ask the people who actually use these OTC's and have their symptoms relieved in a couple of days doing so. It's a prescription or nothing. Speaking for myself, 3 days of Dayquill/Nyquill does the trick 99.9% of the time and allows me to continue to function.
I go to Publix pharmacy for another reason...I'm in love with the cutest little pharmacist you ever saw. It's funny everytime I go to pick up a prescription my wife asks "who was working" I'll answer "My girlfriend". She is a little black girl about 5'2 and cute as a button, she has an absolute sweetheart of a personality too. I swear if I was young and single she would have to fight me off.
Flu is detox. Why would you want to stop it ? Besides, you’re not going to die of coughing and sneezing and headache.
This is an odd stance to take in a for-profit system. I've never seen you advocate a socialized system, even then, unless the government also nationalized American pharma companies (nothing you can do about international ones), someone is going to profit right? They aren't giving out stuff for free if they are a private entity. As far as I know, there are no mom and pop vaccine developers, no mom and pop brain surgeons, hospitals etc. Who are the little guys to come in and do these things? There's a reason why the only alternatives are woo woo dipshits, quacks, crunchy earth moms and scammers.
This is more down to our very generous advertising laws, you can claim almost anything in marketing, you just put all the bad stuff in small print in the packaging that no one reads. They could claim just about anything as long as they don't say it cures the flu lol.
Medical doctors were considered the original quacks. Number of people killed by woo woo dipshits likely vanishingly small compared to the number killed by pharma.
By who? There are plenty of valid criticisms of western medicine, but the fact that more people die in hospitals than Dr. Love's Homeopathic Teepee Hut is mostly just a numbers game lol. Most people go to hospitals when sick, some dont come back. There is no cure for death.
Speaking of filth, my wife and I acquired a hacking cough last Fall. I changed out a filthy a/c filter and our coughs quickly resolved. What I still don’t know is whether I gave filthy a/c filter to her or whether she gave filthy a/c filter to me.
If you got to the point of respiratory ailments from an AC filter, I wasnt far off on your house being filthy. You're supposed to change it fairly often lol.
Why would you go to the hospital for a cure if your only problem was coughing? None of what you are saying makes any sense, as usual.
I think we can narrow the problem down to your sarcasm meter needing calibration. Shared environment almost completely dismissed as a cause of shared symptoms. The notion that people are deadly disease vectors ranks among the stupidest superstitions in human history.
You could always have half your blood drained as George Washington’s doctors did. Killed him but it alleviated his cold and flu symptoms.
Consult your medical doctor. Recent studies summarized below link. “The researchers concluded that post-exposure use of zanamivir, oseltamivir, laninamivir, and baloxavir probably reduces symptomatic flu rates in patients at high risk for severe illness (zanamivir risk ratio, 0.35; oseltamivir, 0.40; laninamivir, 0.43; baloxavir, 0·43; moderate certainty) when given within 48 hours after exposure to seasonal flu. These antivirals, however, probably don't appreciably reduce rates of symptomatic flu in patients at low risk of severe flu when given soon after exposure (moderate certainty), they said. Prompt administration of zanamivir, oseltamivir, laninamivir, or baloxavir may lessen symptomatic zoonotic flu in people exposed to novel influenza A viruses tied to severe infection (low certainty). Oseltamivir, laninamivir, baloxavir, and amantadine likely lower the risk of symptomatic and asymptomatic infection (moderate certainty), but zanamivir, oseltamivir, laninamivir, and baloxavir probably don't do much—if anything—to prevent asymptomatic flu or reduce all-cause death rates (high or moderate certainty). Oseltamivir likely has little or no effect on hospitalization rates (moderate certainty), and none of the studied antivirals significantly raise the incidence of drug-related adverse events or serious adverse events (varied strength of evidence).” 3 new studies probe the efficacy of antivirals in preventing, treating flu
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that half or more of drugs are comprised of side effects which often include - death.
