Worst graded starting lineman Bama had this year. Bama was not sad to see him go.

 

But they were sadder to start someone over him. That hurts Bama regardless of how fans whine.

 

Agree but I don’t think he’s any better than Lovett, Jones, or Manuel we have enough Jags on the OLine. I really hope we are only paying for proven players out of the portal. Whiff on high school recruits. If that makes sense.

There are some great edge guys in the SEC that those 3 haven't had to deal with, so I can't really comment on the relative abilities, but we do need proven guys to be starters. Getting 4th year guys from lower tier schools has worked for us. There are very few proven, successful, and superior athletic OT out there.

 

I hope they have a ton of them behind him too, though we won't get to see them next year, whether it's because they or us are not good enough to make SEC.
