Certainly not how a four team playoff would have looked if it were four teams, most would be saying 5-8 didnt have a chance anyway not at all allowing boise into that conversation.
It's weird looking back and thinking #1 Oregon didn't even get an extra home game like those left in the fray. Makes me wonder if we started with 8 teams and 5-8 would have went on the road to 1-4. how would the final 4 look now. Perhaps ASU would have won at home over Rocky Top. Oregon might have got off to a better start, maybe not. Could the home crowd in Athens pulled their team to victory and affected some of the big plays that went in NDs favor?
This Sports Illustrated article linked below does a great job of discussing EVERY aspect of the likability of the 4 teams remaining in the playoff. Well, maybe they miss a few aspects. It is a form of spoof of the many click-bait articles that infest the interweb these days with allegedly in-depth analysis of some aspect of something. The article is rather silly but moderately cute in discussing the various aspects or stereotypes of the various programs.
