Trucker sat next to him on a flight from NY to LA sometime after Caddyshack was released. He said after they exchanged pleasantries Dangerfield was a silent traveling companion and sat in his seat with a pad of paper writing jokes all the way across the U.S.

 

So will losing to the libs in the future when we keep nominating guys like Trump. It will bite us in the butt eventually. Not in '24, but eventually.

Since DJT (hate him as you may), things have happened that I NEVER thought I'd see in my life--such as Roe overturned, a conservative majority SCOTUS, and now, most recently...

A designated task force that exists to target and reign in wasteful spending (DOGE)--even if potentially 20 TRILLION DOLLARS too late.

Trump's a toad...who has pulled off some amazing things, and appears poised to do a fair bit more.

Perhaps you can identify a GOP candy (since Reagan) who's brought more success to the GOP than Trump--b4 casually, baselessly, running shit about how horrible for the GOP he is--as the GOP enjoys majorities in H/R, Senate, governorships, conservative SCOTUS and judiciary... largely due to Trump.

And yes, I can get pretty pissy/prickly on here--which is part of the fun for me. Better to be prickly on here, than in real life--but I suppose i should be perhaps a bit more mindful of the impact that might have on the other end of the screen here--especially if it might seap into other's real life.

Oaktown is a rock star! Always the level-headed one. He's a role model for mods, no doubt. I love this forum because it provides such a wide array of views and demonstrates how carried away we can get when conversing with each other with our keyboards. For Oaktown (well, for life in general, but since this thread is here...for Oaktown!), I wish we could all have thicker skin and more respect for those that we shared discourse with, particularly those that we disagree with.
