It happened for the same reason they all happen, from Columbine to Vegas to Sandy Hook to OKC to wherever. A disaffected or disconnected male got angry and lashed out. The excuse they use for their barbarism changes, how they got to their final state changes (and this idiot may have been radicalized), whether their excuse is political or personal changes, but the underlying psychology on these guys usually doesn’t. I will say though that if it turns out to have had a larger orchestration, that’s a different discussion. I am sure that’s why they postponed the game, until they can be sure he is or isn’t working with someone or there isn’t another shoe to drop, they erred for caution.
Only report I have seen that said anything about him shooting into the crowd. That says witnesses reported he was shooting into the crowd. The report also says he got out of the truck and shot at police while other articles I have read said he was shooting from the truck. Again the statement the original poster left did not match the link he posted and that is why I questioned it. I am always suspect of the media trying to weave the "gun" part into a bigger part of the attack than it was. I have seen no mention of anyone being shot other than the two police officers. It may turn out he shot 30 people but so far that has not been reported. If he did shoot into the crowd he would have hit a lot of people I would think.
Not at 3:15, he wouldn't necessarily. He likely chose to go later because the people would be a bit more dispersed by then. He wouldn't have been able to develop speed with his truck due to the wall-to-wall people from 12:10-1:30 or so. The vast majority of injured people appear to be due to his use of the truck (and that has been the focus of the media coverage that I have seen), but he was certainly shooting at some point as well.
Authorities have found other IEDs scattered around the area. Unsure if they are the same type as the one found in the Ford F-150 Lightning. Also, authorities believe this was not a lone-wolf attack.
For the record I posted exactly 1 link. I would think that each of us would find our own info and from multiple sites. I am not going to post every site and news cast I heard. I am as pro 2a as they come. The media wasn’t trying to weave anything into this story. A gun was used . It was shot at people. 2 cops were hit. This is a terrible horrific attack. Instead of looking for political hay.. let’s just take moment and realize that many many lives will be for ever changed. Children lost parents and parents lost children. Whether by a truck running over them or a bullet hitting them doesn’t seem to really matter.
Local fox is chyron saying fbi reviewed footage of 4 people placing explosives. Haven’t seen discussion of same
I think it’s a fixed street cam and someone was panning across a screen playing the video with their phone to follow the truck while recording. I’ve seen the fixed street cam video itself somewhere (likely Twitter?) but can’t find it again right now.
You can see the video monitor with a list of feeds at the start of the video. The phone was following the truck across the screen after the fact.

I was listening to a news report and Senator John Kennedy just said there were 4 to 5 others involved in this attack
I don’t see that but I did read where the FBI believe he did not work alone and that there is video of several different individuals leaving the IEDs
