This looks just like all the other CFP playoff games we have been subjected to this year.

 

Looks like another blowout, I know it is the first year of the 12 team playoffs and tweaks will need to be made, most of us could see these weak conference Champs did not deserve first round byes and the betting line reflected that!

Yep. The rules were made before Texas/OU bolted, before Pac 12 folded, and requires a unanimous vote to change. What incentive do the smaller conferences have to change things?

The playoff system is in place to help the weaker conferences and teams. No benefit to the SEC or Big Ten except being subjected to a potential one game upset. They could break off and do an SEC/Big Ten playoff for a champion and make a ton of money....top 6 teams in each conference make the tourney.

 

No benefit? Over half the playoff field is from those 2 conferences
